I don't care what you saw the WAFC deemed it unfit only the conspiracy theorists like Grassy and Subi supporters think otherwise.

I do think though Geelong have gone down the mature age recruit path in a big way last off-season and apart from Danger I think it's backfired. Menagola probably cost them SFA so no harm there but they might pay the price in the years ahead for going down that path, very similar to North Melbourne.

DD agree that there was little or no risk with getting Mena, remember he's only 24/25 so he has a number of years to pay the Cats back for the opportunity they have given him.

And we all know that the WAFC is at the beck and call of the two AFL teams. Freo saw an opportunity to gain an advantage and forced the WAFC's hand. Peel were happy for their colts to play on it.
