Touch wood the WBD win tomorrow....couldn't think of anything worse than an all Sydney final being played in Melbourne TBH.....really thought Geelong would of won that game....like Hawthorn last week some of Geelong's champs looked suddenly old and past their sell by dates....

Ordinary by PN, he was one of very many that went missing on the night. I would be more worried that high draft position recruits like Zac Smith, Henderson & Stanley failed to show up on the night than a rookie like Menegola who has exceeded expectations.

Spot on Kirbs, Mena came to the notice of the Geelong league selectors after playing a blinder in the VFL with 45 disposals and hasn't looked back since, regularly collecting high 20's and a pretty good 3rd or 4th mid for Geelong, but like 95% of his team mates he had a shocker last night, it's just another example of the pathological hatred that some on this site have for anything or anyone who has had any connection to the SFC. I've met Mena and he's a fine young man who totally dedicated himself to performing at a level that would get him another shot at AFL and he has succeeded so should be congratulated not belittled by a bunch of dogs who are not fit to tie Menas bootlaces.

PN is a serial knob so I wouldn't be too concerned around anything he/she posts on here.

Really the knock on Sam has been his disposal and it was absolute shite last night it I doubt you would of done any research on that I doubt anyone takes any notice of what you post remember when you wanted the bouncer banned, but thought it was okay to play on a sub standard centre square at Medibank and had a melt when it was shifted to Subi, hypocrite of the highest order right there.

I think where PN is coming from is more so the early critics on this topic pointing the finger at Fremantle who had him on their list after Collingwood. Good on him for his persistence, he's playing AFL footy and that's all that is important to him in his life right now. Like a lot of his team mates last night he got found out in the heat of finals. I applaud his persistence and achievements to date though. I think that needs to be acknowledged.

I do think though Geelong have gone down the mature age recruit path in a big way last off-season and apart from Danger I think it's backfired. Menagola probably cost them SFA so no harm there but they might pay the price in the years ahead for going down that path, very similar to North Melbourne.

Remember when Phil Hughes died after he got hit by a bouncer, and you said the bouncer should be banned easy to find that thread if you like, but when the WAFC moved your game against Peel to Subi for safety reasons you thought it was a crock of shit easy to dig up that thread as well smells of hypocracy doesn't it.
