It will be a joy, I am sick to death of all these improvements in our State, way to much change and it is just one thing after another being built or made better. Everywhere you turn something is being built or fixed up, it's very annoying and how dare our government improve our state.
Thank god it is nearly all over!!!

GWS No amount of sarcasm will deflect from Barnett's LIES, BROKEN PROMISES and ECONOMIC VANDALISM.

Please name me a premier, any premier or Prime Minister ever that has done every single thing he said he would. Then give me the list that has never lied, never broken a promise.
I will await the list mate.

BH let me point out that Langoulant WAS nor IS a Labor sympathiser. It was independent and gave the best location for the new stadium. I certainly hope a RC is called into the decision by Barnett to build the stadium at its current location.

That is positively laughable Mcgowan basically fucked up his election chances the minute he announced he was cancelling Burswood going back to that crap Subi plan and EQ and building a wooden jetty with 3 tents on it.laughable. RC into what? Building what we wanted.lol

GWS before I do that, confirm that Barnett LIED more than once re trasnport to Ellenbrook. Confirm that he lied about the light rail project was fully costed and fully funded. Confirm that he lost the triple A credit rating whilst WA was in the middle of a mining boom.

Too bad,the Commissioner can't be spared the extra Officers.

Spending priorities the wrong way around,Emperor.

That is quite frankly crap, you cant keep blaming lack of money for law and order stuff ups, look at the facts, WA spends more overall on policing per head than any other state in Australia, we have by far the highest paid police in the country, lack of money is not the problem, its up to O'CALLAGHAN to untilise his budget and resources in the most effective way possible, clearly of recent times his model has been an abject failure, given that and the highly expensive police service we have compared to other states, there clearly is an argument that we should be getting more for less.

Bazza what was the cost to change the Esplanade Bus Station and Train Station to Betty's Jetty?

It may be very uncomfortable and unfortunate because it does suit your jaundiced views. However, unequivocally and unabiguously Langoulant was not an ALP stooge. His committee investigated the best position to build the new stadium and its current location was not selected as the best location. Further it identified additional costs to build it there.

With respect to Betty's Jetty it is quite amazing that the water feature lasted all of one week before it had to be closed for maintenance.

I really do believe it is best for a country/state to change governments after 2 or 3 terms. Unfortunately, listening to the financial people, the world is heading into another crisis. Because of this, Australia and in fact, West Australia simply can not afford a "drunken sailor" (aka Labour Party) party leading the state. Lets leave the Libs in power till we can afford Labour.

This debate is somewhat comical, at least for me, as we have men and women of the political right defending socialist projects and big government, and, their counter parts on the political left, preaching the virtues of fiscal restraint of the Ripper years.

%58S seriously you want to keep Emperor Barnett in power? The same Emperor Barnett whose financial wherewithal and expertise cause WA to lose its triple A credit rating IN THE MIDDLE OF A MINING BOOM?

The same Emperor Barnett who said the the MAX light rail project WAS FULLY COSTED AND FUNDED?

The same Eperor Barnett who told the people living in Ellenbrook that that would get a rail link (TWICE) and a rapid bus transit system?

The same Emperor Barnett tin deciding to change the location of the new stadium would cost $200 millions dollars (at the time of the Langoulant Report) more?

The same Emperor Barnett who agreed to increase pay for Doctors and Nurses because he didn't want it to be an election issue?

The same Emperor Barnett that wasted tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars changing hte names of the Explanade bus andf train staions to Betty's Jetty?

. . .
