The bloke is at least one with some vision, he will leave with the greatest infrastructure programme and development achievements since the Brand Court era. The Water from the north really was one I would of loved to see.

Ahahah now that's comedy!! Keep on drinking that milk Bazza! Nothing Barnett has done will benefit the common man! All he does is stick up Electricity prices and then tell people not to run their aircons!
Fact - The Barnett Government inherited the best set of public finances in Australia from the previous WA Labor Government. They also inherited the Fiona Stanley Hospital project – a fully funded, planned, and designed tertiary hospital that was the centre piece of WA Labor’s vision for Health in Western Australia, and the Liberal Govt are struggling to manage it. So don't bullshit to everyone that Old Col is a visionary mate!!

Get back to your emu export and dream about the achievements of the WA Inc Days leave the big stuff to the grown ups.

I'll be honest and say I was a critic of the Elizabeth Quay project purely from a traffic view point because to cut off a beautiful avenue into and out of our city has been a big price to pay. The roads around it being The Esplanade, William Street and Barrack Street are for the most part one lane which is painful and you have to compete with buses going up and down William Street. One day, I was on the Esplanade trying to turn left to get onto Stirling hwy and had to endure about 4 light changes and one of those we didn't move.

Something will need to be done down the track most likely a tunnel under Riverside Drive and Elizabeth Quay and I would suggest removing the trees along the Esplanade and William Street opposite the Esplanade train station so an extra lane can be added. No point having a major showpiece if you can't get people to and from it.

I went there a few weeks ago after I knocked off from work. It was 1am and practically had the place to myself apart from a few security guards wandering around. I have to say I was blown away and very impressed. It is a lot bigger than I thought. It showcases the beauty of our Swan River, city skyline Narrows bridge and walking around it at night is an experience I recommend everyone do at some point.

I'm not a fan of Barny these days but I'll give credit where credit is due. Elizabeth Quay will put this city on the map and get people talking about it. Now finally the Bell Tower looks like it belongs there.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Good to see you have changed your tune on Elizabeth Quay DD. As I posted when it was originally announced it in time would become our version of Darling Harbour in Sydney which is incredibly popular all year round.

This is the premier who lied about the fully costed and fully funded light rail project. The same premier WHO LIED on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS regarding rail to Ellenbrook and rapid bus system to Ellenbrook.

This is rhe same premier who CHOSE to increase the cost of the new stadium by according to the original Langoulant's costings 200 million dollars to build it where it is being built. That 200 million is probably north of 350 million now.

Thank God the ALP will save us all, no more bad people at Elizebeth Quay, crime will of course instantly stop throughout our state. We will have rail lines going to almost every street, the stadium will be made standing room only for the common people. Taxes of course will come down and not to mention the union movement to once again fix everything. The hospitals of course will no longer have any problems.
It will be a joy, I am sick to death of all these improvements in our State, way to much change and it is just one thing after another being built or made better. Everywhere you turn something is being built or fixed up, it's very annoying and how dare our government improve our state.
Thank god it is nearly all over!!!

The new Perth Stadium is now actually being built were it should always have been built 42, so what if it costs a bit more for the best and most sensible location!
The ridiculous proposed rebuild of $ubi Oval of Chippy Carpenters got the respect it deserved- thrown in the bin!

BH let me point out that Langoulant WAS nor IS a Labor sympathiser. It was independent and gave the best location for the new stadium. I certainly hope a RC is called into the decision by Barnett to build the stadium at its current location.

GWS No amount of sarcasm will deflect from Barnett's LIES, BROKEN PROMISES and ECONOMIC VANDALISM.
