Langoulant actually publically complained to Court about Colin's spending as Treasurer..
the report was never going to get taken seriously once Colin took over..

As for the stadium - I think we should all be concerned that the professionally prepared Langoulant Report which said that Kitchener Park (ie not a Subi upgrade - a total rebuild) was a better option but has been totally ignored by the current government and the bottom option on the report has been taken up instead. I think there is an even better option, Wellington Square in East Perth. I mean if the government is prepared to rip up a large piece of green grass on the Esplanade that working people used to use every day to exercise, play sport, eat their lunch etc....to build a waterfront then i can't see why using this huge park which is ideally located in the heart of Perth smack in between the city and Burswood has not been seriously considered? The main people i see using that park when i drive past is aboriginals drinking booze.

There would be more transport options to and from this location.

Kitchener Park has a much wider expanse of real estate to build a stadium on than the thin edge of the wedge where Subiaco Oval is now and if they extend the sinking of the Fremantle rail line (already sunk in most of Subiaco) then that gives greater access to and from the venue.

I hope its at Burswood and sinks into the mud and rubbish, that would karma for Barnett and also the AFL

Mc Gowan, will get FLOGGED, of that i am sure. Barnett has stood up against federal labor, and the facts seem to be everyone hates Julia, hence why mc Gowan doesnt want her here during the campaign, that in itself shows how much labor is on the nose here.

History shows who is in favour or in power federally has little to no impact on state elections. It will be an election where Barney's arrogance and Troy the boy Buswell's private antics and soap opera will be judged. How many lives has Barney given Jack the Lad?

Keep telling ya they are ALL ARROGANT.... i aint politically inlcined one way or the other...but Mc Gowan , will be crucified. Pity we cant have a punt on it

I think that if it's near the Casino it will be more of an attraction than at Subi and if Labor get in there is talk they are building an invisible underwater railway linking up with the City.

Barnet has said people will have to get used to taking the train to the footy, in other words you will not be able to get within cooeee of it in car so tell me what the attraction is to having it beside the Casino? Do you think James Packer is going to allow thousands of sweaty smelly football fans decked out in their teams kit and carrying a bag they took their lunch in to the Crown Casino? I don't think so. Another well thought out masterplan by Colin Barnett.

It is probably easier now at Subi if you want you can walk back to your car, have a change of shirt, a bit of deodorant and off you go and dump your bag, footy budget, cap etc... in the car and go wherever you want to go for tea whether it be Subi, city, Burswood or elsewhere which i think a lot of people do.
