Does it really matter or effect anyone if the likes of Warner or Smith pay their respects to Hughes in that way?.....maybe showboating in some folks eyes perhaps by doing it but if it makes them feel better who really cares TBH......why do folk put flowers on peoples graves year in year out for decades?.....not as though the dead person is gonna see them, smell them or touch them is it?......if it makes them feel better, cope with their grief better than so be it......who really farken cares........atleast they arent smashing head stones etc like some sick fucks do eh?

It has improved the range of shots batters now have, and it has put more onus on bowlers to execute their changes of pace and bounce, not just run in and bowl

as for the cash Mr Cricket has or is making by playing at Sydney, this is also a great way for old buggers (Kallis, Flintoff, Hoggy, Hussy etc) to fund their retirement and not have a full time job like you or I, A few weeks in Australia, A few weeks in India, A few weeks in the Carribean, and you have made more than enough money per year.

You cant begrudge anyone that opportunity to make money

Ya lost me at "Batters" PH :) :) :)

Serioulsy if the likes of Kallis Flintoff and Hussey aint set em selves up for life after all the endoresments, contacts, they made over the years, then in all honesty i have no sympathy for em.

I think you have to leave the personalities out of it and take the game as it is - 3 hours of fast exciting hybrid cricket unk. There has been some really close, exciting games this year - the Scorcher's game last night was something else - thanks to Hoggy!! Just try it with an open mind mate - it's not that bad.

Agree with you there Freeze, have no problems with individuals grieving in whatever way they need to, one only has to ask what if it was one of your best mates to understand there is no right or wrong way to grieve....on the other hand when the bloody media jumps on these things with the tear-jerk background music, now that erks me no end. On that note Freeze, respectfully ask how have the media in NZ handled the horrid news of NZ cricketing legend Martin Crowe's cancer struggle and fight for life. Can only wish him well and hope for a miracle after reading the reality of his diagnosis. Hope NZ are showing the love for one of their greatest sporting champions.

Funny you mention Crowe DW...just finished reading his biography, seems to talk more about his depression than his cancer.....in his prime he suffered from bouts of depression and self doubt even though he was NZ best know cricketer along side Hadlee.......the kiwis like Australians love a fighter, Crowe is doing it hard , I wish him well, but reckon he wont last the year....only in his 50s too....very sad!

With five 50s in a row Rogers has booked a ticket for both the West Indies tour & the Ashes. And typical Watson, dead rubber, axe well and truly sharpened and ready to fall and he gets his highest score for the series.
Starc hit 150kmph yesterday, got is mojo back.
And it was remiss of me not to mention the outstanding "talent" of both Mel & Roz of BBL fame, great allrounders.

Watching the BBL and have to say Brad Hogg at 43 has to be the top spinner playing in Aust at the moment, age probably against him playing in the ODI Tri-Nations and World Cup.
A question to my old foe in Freezin- Is there a BBL comp in NZ, what's the standard, and is there any talk of NZ putting in a couple of teams into the Aust BBL ? They do it already in basket ball, soccer and net ball.
Also, given they've had 3 players in the West Australian Newspaper's test team of the year, how confident are the Kiwi's in the upcoming World Cup, given the home ground advantage? And be nice in answering
Good to see soccer legend Robbie Fowler at the WACA watching the BBL.
Looking forward to the new Sam Kecovich's new lamb adds with Ritchie Beneaud in them.
Missing the "talented " Mel in tonight's coverage :(

Old foe Jimmy?.....naagh mate we are banter buddies fella ;) ...the Georgie Pie is the NZ BBL mate....Hodge had a blinder from memory, Dunk scored a few and Laughlin was tidy at the death.....depth wise will always be their achilles heel.....for the world cup....well the likes of Southee and Boult are good as any going around, Williamson is in good nick and McCullam is a match winner on his day......saying that NZ havenot played anyone in the top 3 for over 12 months....so who knows how good they are.....if Ronchi gets a game then to me that sums up NZ depth.....Luke is hit and miss and really did fark all for WA in his time besides the odd special innings...., injuries will be their downfall......though Neesham and Anderson are two Watson Adonis like allrounders who can do some damage quickly in the 50 over format.....but like Watto mentally meringue like at the best of times!
