Liberals will hate the fact that this figure is 15 billion less than estimates when labor came into power

thing is the Liberals left behind colossal debt which will take decades to eliminate and then there's the interest on that amount
 

Last year's budget forward estimates has net debt at $40.9b in 2028 Southy, so no chance of any government paying it off any time soon especially this one regardless of receiving $114b in GST and royalty revenue over the last 8 years.

What debt did Labor inherit from Barnett? I think it blew out to 37 billion but Barnett was only getting 30c in the dollar of the GST carve up. This government has been enjoying surpluses on the back of a 70 cent floor in GST yet I heard the other day our debt has blown out to 40 billion. So 8 years of Labor and most of it with a 70 cent floor in the GST carve up and still not managed to pay down our enormous debt but they beat their chest that we are driving the Australian economy.

worst thing is that the Liberals gave away Gas to china for near nothing cents per litre while we pay through the nose for it

Churchlands looks like a seat of interest,tonight
Labor have little chance of retaining the seat
.The Teals have invested big money and have Labor first preference.If Labor can get around 30% of the primary vote.And add around 10 to 12% green. Basil will need around 50%

It's not looking good for the Libs at this early stage only getting about 25% of the primary vote compared to Labor 50%.

Libs in front in 6 seats that I can see. Nedlands, Cottesloe, Carine, Churchlands, Vasse. Kalamunda maybe. Greens doing well far out. Very disappointing result for the Libs.

I think Kalgoorlie had the Liberal member in front.

Just waiting on old cook to claim victory. Tha alp currently won 42 which is more than enough seats. With 9 in doubt. Been a slow count because a couple of seats not been mentioned at all.
