He was at Carlton for 7 years. Last game for Swans the 08 Gf.So Carlton have done well.But Chris justs wants to come home.

Im pretty sure that when Yarran let it be known he wanted to leave Carlton he stated he wanted to stay in Victoria hence the move to Richmond,he didnt want to come home to WA.

yes, something has changed - he got a mental illness and it has been recommended he return to be close to family.

Being back home at Swans close to old mates like Ellard, Notte, Pearce, Banfield, Bennell, Blight et al might do him the world of good too, was even suggested by his manager!

he's been away 8 years so you'd think he'd have even closer mates in Melbourne. call me a cynic but it smells like he's over the hard slog of AFL football and wants to opt out and the only way not to be in breach of contract is to cite mental illness which is flavour of the month apparently...no big deal to me and he wouldn't be the first. in fact the young bloke who's just returned to South Freo has done something similar.

as I said BH...no big deal to me and good for you bogans but you can see by his body shape the desire to play AFL must be in question. that's not an indictment of the individual as it must be a very tough gig which is not for everyone and reckon after 8 years he's probably had enough. could be wrong as it's just an opinion on someone who as you quite correctly point out I don't know from a bar of soap.

BC has every right to pass comment on the guy more so because Yarren chose a profession of high public scrutiny here in Oz.....christ lets us ask the Tiger fans about Yarren, considering he was their player up until a few weeks back......they simply adore the fella!

So why the need to make comment then BC? It has been well documented Chris is having an issue at the moment and you seem to want to trivialise it without knowing any of the facts at all nor knowing those that are the closest to him as I pointed out earlier he has many friends in the West at Swans, his family obviously and not to mention a couple of his very closest buddies at WC & Freo respectively!
