Mike I thought the water boy 'Gino' was an Italian fella? What a mamma mia ental fark up that was
With the likes of Notte, Cary, Riddoch, Rogers, Jukes, Banfield, Ansey, Simpson et al we can throw forward you would think we would have been able to muster up more than the measly, pitiful 78 goals we have only managed to kick this year so far in 10 games! :pinch:

Updated now up to a whopping 82 goals in 11 games of football so far this season ...fair dinkum unbelievable to think anyone would want to pay $15 to watch that ineptness!

French water boy was a term used on this site by a poster at the time when we were initially discussing who he was after the big whammy. He had no idea at the time how an Aussie football would react with a bounce pass and fully expected it to hit the target with a bounce pass as a 'soccer' ball would have. Harsh intro to the erratic behaviour of the Aussie footyball.

FYI BH Gino is Italian. My understanding is he used to be the physio for the Italian national swimming team. Incredibly skilled and knowledgable guy who the club should have found a more serious role for rather than just a rub down assistant and watch him walk away. Bloody huge mistake. His knowledge and ideas regarding fitness, recovery and all things muscular albeit from other sports would have few peers in this country let alone WA footy. Unfortunately this fell on deaf ears around the club. His lack of English skills at the time provided a big stumbling block to his confidence in speaking up around the club about better practices. I spent hours discussing his philosophies with him whilst he was fixing hamstrings i'd torn to death during my playing years. Made me feel 10 years younger after rehabilitating my legs. Hands down the most knowledgable dude regarding muscle stability, fatigue and injury you will ever come across.

Agreed, we are the worst wet weather side I've ever seen

Not surprising mate and they wonder why we have an injury list as long as ours currently with a good percentage of them soft tissue injuries.
I wonder if Gino is still around in Perth because if the club werent interested in his work I certainly am with my hamstrings in much the same shape as yours DW :pinch:

:Perths midfield ran harder than ours DW and allways had more numbers around the contest.I looked closely at the playing serface both 1/4 +3/4 time.Thinking it was the reason we drop so many simple marks ,errant handpass or 30 metre kicks that miss there target by 5 metres. Then i thought the ball was slippery for only one side.
Had a look tonight of our season so far. Most games have been in the wet or rain on the same day or during the game.Maby we need a Docklands retractable roof at Steel Blue :P

Been a while but I'm pretty sure he is still residing in Basso. I'll find out for you.

As for the goal per game ratio it's pretty damning. After returning from today's game I've just sat through 2 hours of The Voice with the missus and hate to admit it but found it to be a helluva lot more entertaining than what I witnessed at Basso today.

On another note....Good luck to Blighty this week. Fingers crossed he gets a run at it in future.

I work in the are of soft tissue therapy, muscle conditioning and rehab etc and agree that those with a wealth of experience like that should never be ignored!

yeah but SD ....the area of soft tissue therapy and muscle conditioning you work in is illegal in most places except West Virginia and maybe parts of Tasmania.
