Good, the normal transmission has resumed. Stories in The West are not to be believed again.

Is that what your fellow supporter is saying? Surely, a sponsor of the club you support wouldn't write unsubstantiated or untrue stories about the club it is sponsoring?

staying out of the bitter banter, I remember going to Bunbury in the early 80's for an EP SD game at Hands Oval. I thought the atmosphere was fantastic that day and even then I thought it would be great to have a team in the WAFL based there. It would spark some renewed interest in the WAFL, and it would be nothing like the Peel farce. They would become a strong club down there I am sure.

Swans v East Perth games have always had an edge to them, there have been so many great battles. My favourite was the Preliminary final of 2010 at Bassendean. Long queues outside the ground, 11,000 passionate supporters packed into the place, competitive game, a short trip back to the glory days of the WAFL.... good times

I remember being in that queue.
When we got in & walked over the hill we couldn't believe the crowd :woohoo:
I think the ground has a lot to do with decent crowds. Bassendean is a fabulous ground and historical with those well maintained wooden stands. I loved going there to watch football. The bar on the hill is very very popular. Adds to the atmosphere. More clubs should take note of how they do it I believe.

mike: that's a good memory; I have only been to Swan Districts for one game: 1980 -- 22,000 turned up, Swans prevailling over their friendly neighbours, EP

Cheers.

Astro never let the facts get in the way of your comments. You are wrong on the salary cap and you are wrong on the comment about a player testing positive to drugs.

Let me know when you decide to come back to reality.
