we haven't lost for a while so i won't be into the absent arguament.i think most east perth supporters give this site a miss due to the unbalnaced views put forward.i do not include you mikeh as i find you fair in your views.a case of a unbalanced view was that maybe some payback was due after the scoreboard fiasco at basso.the thing that no one gets is that the more hate shown to east perth and it's players will lead to motivation to play better.it is a long way to go yet but before the season started i doubted we would be in the position we are because of several players leaving and no real recruiting.this was an important game for us to win as we need to beat both the swans and perth to get in the four and with a game in hand we need to win 5 of the last seven.i still favour swans to sneak in before perth as 4 of their last 6 are hard games.swans have to play peel twice in their last five so should scrape in.footy is a funny game and a few strategic injuries may knock the royals, swannies and demons out of the race.only time will tell.

Chaddy22 at least at Swans we have our club which we can still support, throught thick and thin. You no longer have East Perth to support. By the way how will you feel in about 5-7 years when the devil incarnate, Eagles, spurn your lot after doing irreparable damage and attempt to get into bed with Perth at Lathlain Park Oval?

having Smith, Johnson and Lycett was the difference and one always bobbed up to do something...
hard game - fights, reports, blokes getting knocked out though i am not sure how Wulff got a free kick when Hilda get knocked out in the same contest..
we need to be better defensively - 6 goals from free kicks means we were doing something wrong..

Given the importance and ability of Simmo in defence, losing him so early in the game did not help. Given the game a margin of two goals provides us with something to work on for the rest of the year.

Was it 6 or 7 goals they got from free kicks in front of goal? Anyways how then could they miss Garlett having his head ripped off in a marking contest in our forward line is beyond me  as that would have put us a goal behind at the time in the last qtr???

the bigger question is how one of your players could hit the goalpost running in from 10 metres out.had a good laugh.

nearly as funny as Johnson trying a torp out of the back pocket and it landing on a Swans players chest 35 metres out..or the East Perth player kicking out and kicking it to Garlett..

By the time that the Eagles spit you out you will have lost most of your loyal fan base. I was speaking to a couple of East Perth supporters of long standing, both well into their 80s, and they are absolutely disgusted with what the East Perth football club have done.

Interesting to see that of the three field umpire in the game the club formerly known as East Perth versus Swan Districts, Keating, Shelton and Orr, only one, Keating is umpiring league this week. Shelton is down to umpire SD vs PT in the reserves and Orr is nowhere to be seen.

Hopefully Orr is umpiring in Widgie mooltha this weekend! When you miss as blatant around the neck free kick 20m out dead in front with 5 minutes left in the game as the one Dayle Garlett didnt recieve last week that should be the penance!
