I'm dirty on Claremont for not structuring up at the final stoppage last week with 15 seconds to go. There should have been at least 2 or 3 defensive players which would have shut that prick Bell down and not let him run into F50 and kick the winning goal with little or no pressure. Poor on-field leadership by Rogers, Bolton and co.

How exciting that first 20 minutes was. Run and stun! The ball movement was great. Peel looked flat footed and out of sync. 5 goals in no time. Then we were brutally shut down by a team that was bigger, stronger and fitter. Halfway through the 2nd quarter Peel were dominating the game even though they were still behind on the scoreboard. Our only hope at half time was to hit back with another swag of goals with the wind in the 3rd quarter but Peel crushed us with a magnificent defensive performance and I knew we were gone half way through the 3rd.

Our main weakness this year was brutally exposed today. Centre clearances were all Peel with Reidy dominating  and giving the same armchair ride to his midfielders as Jones did last week. Swans have to try and recruit a ruckman who will at least give our midfielders a chance.

Doc has been great this year but he can't compete against these monsters. Without Turner and Clarke, there was too much left to Rohkar and Chalcraft and the other mids didnt contribute enough. As Danger pointed out we looked unbalanced with Noble and JGM in the team and we needed more run that a Cartwright or Hilton may have provided.

It just seemed that the team was running on empty in the 2nd half. This shouldn't take away though from the progress that the team has made this year. Hopefully we can keep the core of this team together next year, with a bit of targeted recruiting we can challenge again in 2025.

I  think SD had the likes of Rokahr, Chalcraft, Clarke, and Turner  available in every H&A game this year. To lose 2 of them at the wrong time of the year, definitely hurt SD. Pretty sure if all had been available mikeh, SD lack of a tall, to compete against Reidy, would of been neglible. Just footy I guess, the rub of the green can only last fier so long, something always finds a way of biting you.

Kohlmann had an outstanding season for SD, especially after a 4 year absence.....to kick 50 + goals, Is he going around again at 33?...can he repeat his 2024 season if he does? Edward's had a break out season as well, exciting talent, who has more AFL qualities than many  of those Freo boys playing for Peel.

Looks like SD played their GF down in Mandurah couple of weeks ago, since then its finals campaign fell in a hole, Peel did it with ease, a 5 goal head start and ended up a 70 point turn around, taking marks with ease up forward on SD home deck. Did it missing a big possession player as well.
To think Claremont could have cancelled these cretins by a point.
Anyway I am not sure EP can do it GF day now after that display.

Exactly right BC, Tbh Claremont were the best team in the finals not to make the GF , if that makes sense.

commission's been a hostile entity since 2015 - probably started little earlier than that but basically McLauchlan fucked them over then
it's said he told them he'd get rid of them and didn't need either of them and footy in WA would freeze entirely given the level of infiltration that had already been achieved
ie: broadcasting either by free TV or paid had addicted just about all households that watched VFL and they knew that these addicts wouldn't be going to soccer or rugby (and the WAFL had been reduced & starved to the point of extinction and anyway there were Victorians inside our clubs here already - players /coaches/staff/etc to undermine)
so -
we've had two consecutive arseholes at the top of WAFC tree just milking us dry , we've seen Ablett installed by that weasel prick Sheehan who is a self appointed expert at children playing football and thinks he's a god - mind you the VFL keep the old weirdo kent of a thing right up there to control everything for them & make no mistake he's a pro-victorian cunt of a thing who should be shot on sight west of the eucla he's that bad for football
end result if the status quo exists for much longer -
VFLWA - and the licences will be worth squat & the VFL won't pay a single cent for either of them - they'll just piss both clubs off and install their own versions of WA teams with licences in VFL land (have a gander at how they set up GC , GWS & now Tasmania and believe what you want) - they don't need the WAFC their $$$ comes from Foxtel & any of the free TV lots
and the killer is -
1. that they take every single cent of admissions no matter what
2. the agreements they hold exclude any deal with potential rebels so forget the white knight scenario(s)
3. the cunts have infiltrated every single league in the country and almost every single club with it , so there isn't much that isn't out there to them - and they've busted every league except WA  ( SA sold their licences as part of funding received from old mate cunt features Gillon (ex-SA sprog) for the Adelaide Oval overhaul )
4. the VFL legal beagle Dillon is now guess what ? - so forget any loopholes that dog cunt legalled this shit and now he's top dog cunt

SANFL is actually stand alone and far more independent that the current WAFL/WAFC set up which is entirely reliant on AFL for survival.

Try sitting through watching your WAFL team (Subi) be the best WAFL team all year and lose to a Freo stacked team at the last game of the year. Twice.

Yep - Happened to us twice in prelims, its actually old news now.

EFFC beat them last year.

How can the fucking football commission allow this to happen, taller, fitter, full time footballers play against a bunch of blokes that basicly play footy / train part time. This is not fair, its wrong. The wafl has no integrirty and further more, nor does the commission. I just cant accept that three quarters of the Peel team are full time professional footballers and are able to run on a oval and play a game of football against a wafl team who are semi professions, it doesnt make any sence. So its Ok to get some of the best blokes around the country because you have lots of money, stuff them into a team and get them to play against a bunch semi professionals. Those Dockers blokes must feel real good HEY.

And that is what angers me.
I'm on the understanding the 8 Wafl clubs had the chance to reject all this shit from happening!! Then the clubs reconsidered and agreed to it. The 8 Wafl clubs probably have to take a large portion of the blame. Still don't hear any of them saying enough is enough!
SF and SD were the only two clubs that voted against the entry of Peel and the Dockers alignment.

Swans improvement this year has largely been due to Rokahr and Chalcraft, as freeze mentioned all your mids were pretty much available all year, take a couple out and Swans are mere mortals like previous years. A couple more Victorian recruits should see you get close to a GF.
