To be honest I think we will struggle with that many. Peel also have some very good WAFL players as well

Have found it interesting to note Swans have currently kicked 65 Goals in their Away games and 112 at Home. Am realising 11 Home games and currently 8 Away have been completed. The final qualifying game will be 9 Away games for the season.
Seems to be a huge difference in the scored goals, does it not?
They've lost matches that they could/ should have won instead of narrowly missing out.
Is a shame they cannot win away more often.

Imo our boys are no chance unfortunately. Likely to lose one or 2 with injury with one potentially another acl. The only chance would be if Freo got knocked out and did have a limit of 12. They had 15 last week and that was without Blakey - could get ugly.

One positive is that there is massive expectation on Peelmantle with everyone considering them as a shoe-in. Swans can go in free of any expectations and play with the freedom that allows. Peelmantle have everything to lose and I hope they do.

The other advantage Swans have is whoever runs on the ground on Sunday is playing with one goal in mind and are passionate about playing for the club, not a collection of individuals proving their fitness or form for an AFL final or trying to get a new contract. It may not be enough but who knows?

Absolute disgrace that this game is not being played at 2.10 pm on Saturday afternoon like the other 4 games. Hope the Cockburn Gateway pretenders get smashed the night before too.

I thought the same back in 2016 and 2017 Mike but what we all tend to forget is that the Freo guys playing for Peel spend roughly 40 plus hours a week together at the club and even more if they socialise so there is a bond between them meaning it's not only just a group of individuals drawn from all over the place playing for their futures. A lot of them become life long mates which means something when you cross the white line.

Yeah I'm probably grasping at straws a bit BC, trying to look for an optimistic angle. Earlier in the season when we beat them at Bassendean, Peel dominated large parts of that game but failed to put us away on the scoreboard. Swans then came storming back in the last quarter and snatched it in the last minute or two. A repeat of that would be good.
