Thanks DF. Good luck to Perth in the reserves final on the weekend.
Sad to see the retirements of Riggs and Howie, both wonderful servants of the club, good luck to both of them in their future endeavours. Hopefully Tony Notte and the club can sort something out with his new circumstances because I think he still has some good footy left in him.  As for Frank Anderson what horrible luck to injure his knee late in the game and even though the initial diagnosis appeared to be an ACL lets hope that the scans show a lesser injury and he can play some part later in 2022.

I missed the game because I was in Darwin so I would like to ask the question of BH, Success Hill, Mark Olsen and any other Swans fan who was present about Wingers point in relation to the discrepancy in free kicks (20 to 10 I think it was) . My question is whether you thought that this discrepancy had any influence on the game in terms of keeping Swans in the hunt right to the end? We all know that the impact of free kicks depends on where on the ground they are given and at what time in the game they are. For example, do you remember how many free kicks led directly to Swans goals? Just interested because it does seem an unusually large discrepancy. Having said that I think that the impact of free kick counts is problematic at best when you consider that Subiaco consistently had a negative free kick count during the years when they were smashing everyone.

Unfortunately I cant edit the previous post. It looks like Tony Notte has played his last game today as he and his partner have built a house down south.

Yes I heard he married not all that long ago. And when one has a lovely lady in their life, things change.                       Have heard two versions of this report. The other story is Notte could train with a local club and travel to keep playing in the Wafl. Then again, that is a lot of travelling one would think. Would be fantastic to see him continue playing if he so chooses to. Then again, I guess we all need to retire sometime

So close but so far.  Swans can stand tall after such a courageous and brave effort.
Hope Frank's knee injury is not too bad.
Well done to all the players and coach.
After years in the doldrums a brighter future awaits us!
ACL unfortunately which will rule him out until 2023 apparently. Tough break for your club.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Yes, I also heard he will be out of the team next season whilst recovering. Should be all set to go in season twenty 23.

Shame you missed the game, for despite the loss, it was one of the best team performances produced by the outfit this year. Germs' game was outstanding, especially for the inclusion of adding a new style in his game of occasionally roving his own tap and get the ball away quickly.

The umpiring had no affect on the game. In the last quarter a WP player received a holding free 30 metres out, and shortly after Jetta got a kick from a similar distant out in SD's forward line...the usual roll of the dice.
