Recruits outstanding in fisher and Anderson. Kids in Edwards beck and Barrass absolutely brilliant. Gault sandover form if we won a couple more games. The fireman, the lawnmower man and the principal going even better hey TRSM? On another note, hats off to the club for the day with kids everywhere supporting the club even when we can’t make finals Line those steak dinners up laddies at Rockpool. We’re alright.

geez Swans picked an interesting Saturday to tip out Perth from the four - all comes down to next weekend for 3 sides - even West Perth could be tipped out if they get smashed by Subiaco

Well played I say

bh,mikeh, gtr,sh,mo,sd,marley, and to all the other, sd supporters on here, beautifully done, indeed. Congratulations, a good day to do it too, given it was Riggio's big match.

Congratulations to Matt on his 200 and the team. The team's acknowledgment of Jim Dougan the scoreboard attendant who retired after yesterday's final home match and Perth players adding to the guard of honour as Riggio was chaired off were great gestures. Thanks Ark.

I'm so pleased we did the guard of honour and went to the roots afterwards. We can spend the next few weeks sewing our merit badges on our uniforms while proper clubs are playing finals.

FWIW Cess I reckon Perth will beat SF next week at Lathlain who are winning yes but certainly not dominate.
It then gets down to WP beating Subi which is highly likely at Joondalup.

As I said on the other post BH, West Perth still have a chance at 2nd spot so they will be very motivated at Joondalup.

On another matter, what is your opinion on whether Matt Riggio might go around for one more year? I think a lot of the older players have been disadvantaged by the shorter season and at 32 he may still have something to offer as a forward if he can get a full pre- season. Apparently counting his games for North Melbourne and in the VFL he is not far off 300 Senior games. I am hoping for another year from Notte as well.

I guess it would be up to Riggs to make that call Mike as he certainly has the runs on the board, he actually should have kicked 3 or 4 goals yesterday as a forward but just didnt have the kicking boots on.
Tony was very good up forward yesterday especially early, if only we were as direct and precise moving the ball forward as a lot of yesterday he would be a dangerous key target up there along with Kohlmann, Noble, Edwards, Farrant, Reidy, Riggs etc who can all take a strong mark overhead.

Seems incredible with all those options that there have been 7 out of the 28 quarters Swans have played this year that they have been goalless. Thats 25%. 2 of those quarters we have not added to our score at all including the 3rd quarter yesterday. On the other end of the scale yesterdays 2nd quarter tally of 6 goals 3 was our highest of the season, followed by 5 - 3 in the 3rd quarter against WP ( which made up 80% of our score in that game)
