We could all take Marley's rose coloured glasses to the games but the reality is SD continue to underperform, do not improve in any facet whether it be skills, fitness, decision making, game style and I like many on here and speaking to at the games have had enough of it!

We know that feeling BH. Let me tell you yes we got lucky getting 3 WCE reserves players on permit but it is only wallpapering over the cracks, rather large cracks. Our reserves are woeful and that is why some players are getting games that simply don't deserve it.

I always thought if we lost any of Masten or Grey or both we are in real trouble given we already lost Yeo and Byrne for the season and CLaremont recruit Ryan Murphy might have plugged one of those holes but never got going. I'll be watching our Ins and Outs with keen interest.

Unbelievable to think this will be the last home game for 2020.
And to think certain club/s didnt even want this season to go ahead at all to save $$$.

mmmm even up to a couple of weeks back they could have added another 4 games / one month to the fixtures given the good decisions made with the border in WA mate

It looks like it is Riggs 200th game this weekend.
Hopefully the boys could at least lift for that for one of our great modern day servants.
That means a massive lift in work rate effort- both with and without the ball for starters!

Wonderful player who had experienced all the highs and lows of footy. From the premiership team in 2010 to the times where Swans were a competitive unit but not quite as good as the top teams ( 2012- 14, 2017) and then the years which were really tough and he had to take on a leadership role for the young players ( 2016, 2018- 2020). He has maintained a consistent high standard of football throughout his career and hopefully the guys can work their butts off to make Rigg's 200th game a memorable experience for him.

Well said Mike.
The 2012 season I believe we had the side to win the flag that year or to have at least played in the GF but for some bad luck & some interesting umpiring in the finals...will leave it at that!
Riggs is also helping out at the club doing a bit of coaching with the SD WAFLW side mostly with the midfield.

Well done to Riggs on his 200th, a rare feat in today's WAFL. One of the hardest at it players in the comp and a tackling machine, hope he and a few other swans boys have a blinder and win it for Riggs.

BH, wasn't 2012 where BOB kicked 2.7 out of 13.23 in the prelim for EF at Steel Blue? By interesting umpiring are you meaning EF got the rub of the green that day from the fellas in yella? Or were you referring to the Cl v SD second semi?

Matt Riggio stats
199 games
4138 disposals ( average 20.8 per game)
755 Marks
590 Tackles
541 Inside 50's
70 goals
He has been a very durable player as well, missing very few games to injury.
Up to this year his lowest games tally for a season was 16.

Brilliant career and hopefully more to come if he does want to play on into 2021.

Congrats to Matt. Playing 200 WAFL games is a fantastic achievement these days and I gotta say he's one of the fairest players going around. Good luck to him on this big day.
