Poor skills, turning the ball over,
No real game plan, playiers don’t have the football knowledge,
Lack of fitness, can’t finish out a game,

THE coaching staff from football to fitness need to have good look at their methods. It’s not working. Nil wins in all grades for 2020.

Time to take ownership of the situation and do your job....... coach and prepare the players.

The fireman, principal and not so smart have been in charge of the football department
for 8 years and we are now seeing the results of their innovation and forward planning.

I like a glass half full. We should have flogged the falcons and got beat because of 4 big turnovers then had 10 more inside 50’s against the team that beat subi. Rome was indeed not built in a day but some foundations are being built here my black and white colleagues.

Both sides were fairly unimpressive I thought, scrappy congested game. Swirling wind wouldn’t have helped plus our crap surface doesn’t look like it’s improved much from the money that’s been spent on it.

wind was pretty tricky for sure.
Cl much cleaner with the footy, more dangerous forwards especially Waterman and no 37.
Swans still have a few blokes not up to league footy, 30 and 39 especially.
reserves a good game.

Waterman was the difference for them up forward he absolutely killed us with good support from Hamp, McCracken, Manuel, Barton etc.
Claremonts defence was pretty rock solid they can work their man under the ball and take regular intercept marks and have the confidence to fan off from there.
I thought the midfield was an even tussle and we fairly well matched them whilst Gault had the better of Goddard especially around the ground. Bolton picks up most of his kicks from hand ball receives by running past a team mate who has taken a mark or as happens all too often them receiving a free kick, why we havent woken up to that in the last 5 years is beyond me as you will dry his output up and he gets frustrated when not given the ball from them.
Claremont are a definite Top 3 side with obviously Subi & also SF for mine with WP probably the best of the rest in 4th at this stage of the season.
We just happen to play them all in the first 4 rounds which is good to see where we are at but you hope it doesnt rock our confidence after that as we are going to be 0-4.

not wrong on Bolton, he races to get the ball after a free kick, throws it to the bloke who won it and then gets the handball, should have been onto it early on.
our kicking to our forwards is pretty poor

He has been doing the same for 5 years MO and still no one on field or in the box (both Coaches & Media) has yet worked that out.

Good point. The ever changing landscape at Claremont is producing conditions that even Claremont players are unused to let alone visiting teams. The funnel of wind coming between the incomplete and finished flats at the NW corner of the ground caught a few out.

Well take note EF, Swans and any other club considering a ground redevelopment. Keep property developers out of it and don’t be dumb enough to allow your ground to be surrounded by apartments. Just a dumb idea in the western suburbs where all the brains are supposed to be. :silly:
