Great to see a bunch of youngsters getting some shield opportunities all over Australia today.....a range of talent which hopefully will help Aust move competively forward into the future.....WA once again have a plethora of injury riddled bowlers, but a pretty good attack nonetheless....not sure why Short isn't playing either. Green obviously a talented sportsman and will be interesting to see if other quicksilver in Kelly and Mackin can build on some promising performances last shield season.

Didn't realise WA shield side were experiencing a similar time line drought as EF are with success.....hopefully Voges has better season than Wiley had this year.

Yet another disappointing start to the Sheffield Shield season by WA who are having their's handed to them by the Prics at the WACA.....added to this disaster the WA boys playing in Abu Dhabi vs the Pakis are also having a shocking tour must have all gone out in sympathy for each other!

If JL is true to his word, then Pucovski is a monty to debut v India.....good knock by the youngster....big double hundred and lots of deliveries faced.....definitely a youngster to keep an eye on....hopefully WA youngsters in Philippe and Inglis can follow his lead....Bosisto fails again....hopefully Short is back soon.....

It has only taken us WA an Innings and a half of this match so far but we have finally passed Will Pucovski for the loss of 14 wickets!

I suppose if you are going to put in a shocker then the first game of the season is the time to do it. Very concerning though and a lot of players would be on notice as a result of this thumping at home that will probably be completed by lunchtime tomorrow.

Not the start Voges wanted or needed....great effort by the youngsters in Philippe, Inglis and Green...the rest bar Stoinis in the first gave little....hopefully this is a one off, but not so sure....time will tell I guess

Good to see WA knock over the SACA's at the Adelaide Oval by 5 wickets thanks to a fine 163* by Shaun Marsh and a patient 58 by Will Bosisto that provided good support.
We should still be in 2nd spot on the Shield ladder behind the Prics!
S.Marsh & M.Marsh are almost certain to be picked for the 1st Test vs India also at the Adelaide Oval opening up 2 spots for our next SS clash starting next week not sure if Stoinis, Agar, Behrendorff are available or are playing in that meaningless 3 game T20 tournament?!...absolutely abysmal fixturing by Cricket Australia!

Our next game is vs NSW at the WACA on November 27 BH. The last 20/20 v India is in Sydney on the 25th November, so it depends on whether the selectors think Stoinis and Agar have enought time to get back and get their minds on the job. Berendorff had ruled himself out of Shield cricket I thought because of his injury history. The other thing about that shield game is that it would be a full week before the first test so it could well be a great spectacle with Starc, Cummins and co up against the full strength WA team with both Marsh brothers.
The only concern for WA is the poor form of Ashton Turner who can't buy a run at the moment.
