Now, this SAGA as The West Australian has dubbed it needs a thorough investigation by the WAFC. We've got a contracted required player being courted by a rival club that is so confident it can get their man they've put him up in free accommodation just down the road from Moss st, or is it on Moss st?

This is unacceptable and the EFFC need to face a hefty fine or some sort of sanction. It's time for the WAFC to step in here.

Yep, appears to confirm what we have thought all along that EF have gone hard ball outside the rules to get a listed and contracted player.
Screwed up badly and should be sanctioned to fullest extent..

I guess after 5 plus years at Perth, with a few wooden spoons under his belt but no Sandover Medal to hang round his neck....Cody has decided enough is enough....pity WCE or the Wirrpanda Foundation couldn't set Cody up with a nice little rent free pad on the Lathlain Precinct Development DD...if they had....perhaps we wouldn't still be here stoking the Cody fire.....again.....LOL

Yep and Cody has decided going to a club that's finished 8th, 9th (last) and 8th in the last 3 years is the way to go.

Yep very true DD....but in that time pretty sure EF have had more players drafted into the AFL than Perth....isn't that Cody's underlining reason for leaving the precinct mate?...oh yeah and the mates rates accommodation too.....LOL

Really? What's your clubs recent record getting mature aged 23/24 year olds drafted? Pretty sure your cross town rivals have a better record on that score. Maybe the "other" Cody has made a wiser choice? I reckon Leggets AFL chances are done.

If you actually looked up the rules you'll see there actually is a portion outside the salary cap allocated for things like rent and travel. But don't let that get in the way of your unsubstantiated hand grenade...

It all comes back to the crux of the matter which is EF ignoring all protocols and their efforts to entice a listed and contracted player without the proper consent of his club for you to even speak with him or his agent.

If you also look up the rules you'll see you make contact with the player first then notify the other club. How are you suppose to know if they are contracted before talking to them??

If there was any issue with the way it's been handled, I'm sure Perth would complain and EF would be investigated. To my knowledge that hasn't happened
