You’re allowed to talk to contracted players DD. Perth has done it, every club does it. EF isn’t WP. Not sure Monaghan has done anything wrong here or anything against the rules.

It’s my understanding EF has chased Leggett for 3-4 years. There’s some connection to the club through family, if I recall correctly

Monaghan is a disgrace but not surprising coming from where he's just come from. A club that bends the rules of life to get an advantage. DD you make out as though Leggett is some colts kid getting groomed.......as for EF getting "inside the kids head"...seems like Perth have already done a good job messing up the kids head....isn't Ninja looking to get out too??....2 talented youngsters, easily in Perth's top 22, seeking out of a club with an ever growing WCE influenced war chest, a club on the cusp of finals footy and more importantly.... a flourishing HJ on site.......something aint right down at MRP.... something just aint right at all.....LOL

Lol your club has bitten off more than it can chew Freezin. Can’t stump up the cash or player/s to get the job done while trying to prize a young contracted player in his prime with probably his best years in front of him. Got to admire your ambitions, reach for the stars and you might land on the moon.

I think wild Bill thinks he’s an AFL coach trying to channel Chris Fagan. News Flash Bill, this ain’t the AFL mate, there is no such thing as a WAFL draft where you can package together some enticing picks to prize away a highly valued player. Perth FC has every right to be pissed off with EFFC and a Bill Monaghan and it’s no surprise they are holding steadfast.

As for Ninja, looks like your cross town rivals have aced you again. Being more realistic and I’d say Ninja has approached SF, ninja has under delivered after a promising start and has a few areas of his game to work on. If he can crack a regular game in SF’s best 22 I’d be surprised but I wish him well.

The honourable thing Bill and Dodd should have done is said look Cody we’d love to have you but while you are contracted to Perth it’s not appropriate we discuss anything further with you. Just play out your contract with Perth and we’ll be happy to sit down at the of the season and see where it’s at. As it stands now you are ineligible to be transferred. If your club said words to that effect I’ve got no doubt Cody would be at training with the club he is contracted to.

And who’s your CEO and President FFS? They are the ones who should be pulling rank here and telling your coach and FM to stop engaging with Leggett.

Not sure about a deal DD, whether they could manage one or not.
Apparently PFC have said under no circumstances.
And as at last night their intention is to stand firm.
He may not play for PFC next year but he certainly won't be playing with EFFC.
So my advice move on fellas.

Try and tip a bloke out of a club and look at the mess they have created, pres and ceo of both clubs should get in a room and sort it out or move on.

And for that you take great delight that one of the best young players in the comp probably won't be playing in the WAFL next year. FMD that says a lot about your club.

It's obvious your coach and FM have no moral compass and have filled Cody's head with false hope.

And I'm feeling quietly confident about our recruiting but thanks very much for your concerns.

The Jolly Joker and KC should cut their losses and shut up. EF have played it wrong all along and should face some sanction for speaking with a contracted player and allowing him to train with their club without prior permission from PFC.
And you two suggesting PFC is preventing Leggett from playing in the WAFL next season and all the other brash comments about PFC not putting an offer on the table. We are not at fault here. Total foul up by EF.

No club can speak with a listed player, contracted or not, without the consent of the player’s club. Neither can that club allow the player to train with them.

Your club should know that. The player’s manager should know that.
EF fouled up big time.

As for Tropiano I have no knowledge of the facts. I presume that all proper protocols were met in stark contrast to EF handling the Leggett issue. Tropiano was not in your best 22 unlike Leggett at Perth and I suspect he was not contracted at that time.
