The mere fact that your club has put up a player contracted to another club in rent free accommodation shows your clubs level of arrogance and lack of respect for another WAFL club. Looks like one way or another this is going to be a very expensive excercise for your club and given the WAFC and WCE are the main suppliers of resources to WAFL clubs I doubt they would be too impressed.

I would be disappointed if the WAFC don't do a thorough investigation into this and give your club a rap over the knuckles. Things are tight, you rely on handouts and this is how you spend it? There has been a complete absence of due diligence here which the WAFC and the two AFL Perth teams should be concerned about.

DD, we have put the case to these Jolly Jokers. It is all very clear what has happened and what PFC has rightly done.
The position has not and should not change...the club owes it to it's players, it's coaches, it's members and supporters AND the WAFL generally...time to make a stand.
A contracted and required player WILL NOT BE RELEASED. Contracts should be sacrosanct.

Perhaps way past the time for giving these clowns any further fodder to pedal.

Strong accusations there, DD- I’m sure you have proof. As far as I’m aware, EF has no properties so not sure where the free accomodation is coming from...

Word travels fast in WAFL circles KFC. It was first leaked by Leedy on this thread and not disputed by any of you in fact suggested he's getting "mates rates". Sounds like your club is paying his rent or your club has a beneficiary with a house nearby who's putting him up. I doubt Cody could afford to live in EF, rent would be very expensive there.

You blokes keep bragging how he lives within a booming left/right foot kick of the ground. That narrows it down a bit. I'm sure a thorough investigation will expose the truth one way or another and this has to raise concerns over salary cap payments.

There’s provisions within the salary cap for rent. I’m sure he wouldn’t be getting a free ride especially as he’s not even an EF player. Everything will be above board. Where he plays in 2020 is the only question- seems like it won’t be at EF or Perth.

Let’s hope for your clubs sake this doesn’t cause unrest within the playing group. Some players might be asking WHAT ABOUT ME? “Allegedly”, you are paying this blokes rent and he’s ineligible to play for us in 2020....???

Considering it was me who mentioned mates rates DD...and I live in NZ...not sure the full authenticity there..but lets go with the rent free story sounds very plausible LOL...because Leedy filled us in with original story, he surely must be the leaking EF official you speak of DD...LOL

Thanks for your concern DD...regarding unrest within the EF ranks...but considering Perth have done an epic raid on other clubs reserves boys and players from lesser known comps like the NEAFL and QAFL...I would be more worried about unrest amongst the Perth ranks TBH...players thinking yep quality in recruiting Masto...as for the others?... WTF aren't we good enough??
