If you could have kept Marsh, you would have got the Brother and Watson would have bared fruit this year if still around.

Jono Marsh was going regardless Harry was coming back or not to EF. Openly said his partner could only do her post grad studies in Victoria as the course wasn't offered over here in WA.....anyway Harry last played colts at EF what 6 years ago?....probably Jupp is the only guy on EF list who played colts with Harry at the time.....and yes no doubt the money too.....plus after last year's debacle, wouldn't surprise me if Jono said it's not the same club you left Harry.....who knows. As for Watson played better as a ruckman than up forward or back.....so not to sure about fruit bearing and all that.....probably only came to EF because of the past Wiley connection at Carlton.

Water under the bridge, wish them all the best at their respective clubs......tough two games first up v Cl then Subi.....common sense suggests EF will be 0-2......hopefully common sense isn't what it is all made out to be....

But there is only one that doesn't pay 100 cents in the $, oh of course they pay 100 cents in the $ to their players just not when it comes to bills and creditors.

Then when they lose their coach they get FF to come here for a quick scroll and sook (under the guise of a new recruit and an EF fan, he would have to be as big a fan and supporter of EF as George). Shrewd work there, no one is onto FF. That obvious it would have to go down as perhaps one of the most laughable of all time - still working out how 'Watson would have bared his fruit this year', that perhaps is something for FF and the West Perth brains trust to work out - clap, clap, clap

Common sense fell over about 4 times on the weekend freeze.

I think a few people were onto it ooolll. I hinted at it in a post that was deleted, then mentioned it again a day or so ago. To me, it was plainer than the proverbial nose!!!

Cheers for that mate....sounds like a few guys will be rested this weekend, a few will return and a few newbies will get a run. Obviously the focus is on longevity and consistency throughout the season with individual and overall team performance. With WCE having no reserves team, looks like more than a few of those boys who have played in the reserves scratchies will get a run....which will be a good opportunity for a few players on the cusp to put their hand up.

Sounds like Manning is a lock for round 1 v Cl, whilst Boekhorst could play league but on managed minutes....only sounds like Kommer is the biggest concern at present injury wise, tho LesterSmith and Anthony who would be up there for league selection are out for the foreseeable future. As Monaghan says for EF to be competitive they like SD, EP and Perth need their quality players available v the more core established sides like Subi, Cl and WP.....had to laugh when the interviewer said losing Jono Marsh to St Kilda recently must of been disappointing for the club........only been gone since Nov mate....LOL

Not as daft as John Townsend from the local tabloid stating the sharks had to stop Jono Marsh moving to Souths in 2019.

Dion Anthony played Reserves against WP. I'd say he'd be in line for a run against WCER this weekend. I've seen a bit of the Reserves in action over the past 2 games- there's some genuine talent running around there that just needs time to develop.
