Great to see that Fletcher, Franklin, & Perry will make their debuts.

Our backline have some huge jobs this week against some very good forwards in Cary & Geappen. Hampson out is a massive blow!!! Will the new coach and game style help the side? Will our experienced midfield lift with a new coach ...time will tell.

Big game for both sides!!!

I know subi have coin & buy players. It's up to the wafl to keep subi in line.

No quite right there Chopper, our board, CEO and footy manager at the time spent money we didn't actually have and failed to adhere to basics like paying gst and super.
That is why we went broke.
We never had the money of Subi and are back doing what we should have been doing, developing our own and and spending within our means.
Subi are the only club who makes a decent profit and has the ability to buy whoever they want as evidenced by targeting swans players and offering more than their swans contracts.
Anyway, enough of that considering this is about swans and the Sharks

I'm very surprised to see Geapen in. He has been a shadow of his former self this season and looked to have done a hammy against Perth. We beat Peel without him and were more than competitive last week. I Think we structure up a bit better without him these days.

Agree mad dog, his man runs off him too easily these days and chasing has never been his strength.
We looked better in the forward line with some pace there last week but hopefully a bit of time off has freshened Swooper up

For the record Chopper when we got the likes of Twomey, Robbo, Geappen et al where did our colts', reserves' and league team finished in the previous 2-3 years?

In fact MO I believe that our profit for 2014 was similar to Subiaco's profit for 2014. Given the revenue stream that Subiaco has through its AFL tickets and social club package one has to wonder how Subiaco's profit could be so low relatively speaking.

They would Spen over a 100k a year on clearance fees and their footy dept spend would be higher than any other G7 club

I have found this the hardest game of the round to pick. I missed our last 3 games due to work and did not see first hand exactly why we lost these games. We seemed to be doing ok with 5 wins from 7 games before those 3 losses.

Although losing to Subiaco is no disgrace, the other 2 games were more than winnable. Before the unexpected departure of Malaxos, I was scratching my head as to what the hell was going on with the club. I did hear most of the second & third quarters on the radio against Subiaco & I seriously thought we must be suffering from a multiple personality disorder.

The loss of Hampson is a massive setback & to a lesser extent Perham. I wonder who is going to kick our goals.

I am looking forward to seeing this game to see how the players respond, now that Malaxos has left.

I have tipped the Sharks only because it is a home game & the fact that Swans are also struggling. This is a game both sides desperately need..

probably should continue this on another thread - but I agree to disagree.
I'm off to the footy to see the magoos - Talk later on this and the other topics above from the Swan's supporters.

Great to see Fletcher, Franklin and Perry given debuts today for EF......I guess with Fletcher getting a run perhaps Young will go back to help cover the loss of Stephen and Read up back? Though Young has been in great form on the ball, so it will be interesting to see what Dodd does........like most EF fans here not too sure where the goals will come from, especially with Hampson out now for 4 - 6 weeks.......and without Stephen and Read, SD forwards will definitely pose problems.

MO not too sure how you know it was those three in particular who were the cause for Malaxos downfall.... so unless you haven't got the balls to name names why bother offering your comments in the first place...unlike you to offer innuendo...yeah understand it's a public forum.....but at least have the guts to name the culprits by name....not by some piss poor CV description.....bit like a king hit from the shadows :pinch:

as for the SD v Subi discussion going on here.....LOL Chopper is right....Subi have money and spend it to their pleasure.....SD thought they had it and were stupid to go where they did......now they think all righteous because they believe they are the WAFL leaders in developing youth.....their greed forced all this.....nothing more nothing less
