The WAFL is being destroyed by these 2 clubs. Professional Footballers against part timers. Ok the odd win will occur depending on the AFL players but Give me a break we have no hope. The WAFL is finished as we know it and it will continue
until we are no more...
RIP WAFL because the WAFC IS DESTROYING US IF THEY HAVENT ALREADY.

FARK

Cardy just remember that the WAFC always makes the correct decision for WA footy. Obviously prostituting and destroying the WAFL is the best decision for WA footy.

Geez that was a nightmare after the first 10 mins from the sounds of things.....lot of talk about how the ball is coming into EF forward 50....4 games on the trot now where the league has kicked poorly for goal......pretty sure that's the players fault and not the coaching staff's?.....how bad was BOB injury?.....not the dreaded BOB hamstring again?

Be interested to see if Malaxos swings the axe......Franklin in for BOB in the defence perhaps?......Hampson for Dion Anthony?....Fletcher for Stokes?.....Barone or Hooker for Boyle?....surely if Bristow is fit he will need a run in the reserves.....Fletcher has been playing well and deserves a run.....not too sure what Malaxos will do, but obviously the last two games have been very disappointing and concern especially being kept goaless once in the Subi game and twice v Peel.....

The AFL alignment games will always be Russian roulette, depending on who Freo and WCE have available on the day.....v EP EF got lucky, v Peel not so.....but I guess after three games most EF fans would of taken a 1 - 2 record....pretty tough start v both GF teams first up....Peel was the easier option on past performances, but hey at least EF can now play the other WAFL teams who aren't AFL or financially superior as EF first 3 opponents....and get a better indicator as where they sit in the WAFL table.

Good to see the reserves open their account, few more of the regulars back playing with a few more to come back over the next few rounds......great win by the colts....3/0 with 4 of the better boys in Snadden(AIS duties), Perry(reserves), Parish and Strnadica(injuries) not playing.....all available this weekend so hopefully the youngsters will keep developing......perhaps the colts boys can give the league boys a session on kicking for goal this week

Any news on whether Tommy Howlett may come back or when McGough will be available?

Freezin, we probably need to keep in mind how young and inexperienced some of the sharks side was. Schleicher, Stokes, D.Anthony ,Ellis, all between 1 and 5 games. We were only down on inside 50s by 8 for the match. Down by 10 scoring shots.
All of the back line were out sized 3 or 4 inches and had a real crack.
Had we taken our chances as they came we would have been a lot closer, we wouldn't have won but it would have been respectable. When we missed at one end it was a two goal turn around every time.
We were beaten by a side that probably does more weights sessions a week than we have training sessions.
16 full time AFL players is a fair handful. Early in the season ,all fit and eager to push for a Freo gig.
I would hope to see the team have a real crack at Claremont this week and square the ledger.
Apart from Hampson and Bristow I'm not sure there is much more Malaxos can do given what is available
I think Hooker should come in for BOB.

For me the inside 50m stat can be a bit misleading. On the weekend I would have preferred wearing a Peel jumper as a forward than being on the end of a lot of entries the Sharks delivered to their forwards. Quick direct ball movement with depth allows the forwards to have space or at least be one out with their opponent and that was the difference when comparing the inside 50s. Agree with the experience factor between the sides and there's no doubt that we need to keep putting games into the young players mentioned as they have all shown the ability required to play league footy. Like to see Stokes and Fletcher do the ruck duties and push Young forward for most of the game as the long get out option. Ellis then gets the 2nd or 3rd best opposition defender and becomes a dangerous forward option. Height in the back half is going to be an issue no doubt but I would like to see more run off half back as we seem to have a number of guys who are good at nullifying their direct opponents but we need more players who can create like BOB. Must win game this week to go 2 and 2 or we could be in some grief heading to Basso the following week.

Hear what you are saying plus1,precisely why I chose Peel to win. The next lot of games will give EF fans a true indicator of where their side sits......being 1-2 from that EP Subi Peel draw is where I thought EF would be, though did think on past performances Peel would be our win. Got no probs with Malaxos not making any changes for the Cl game, just think fellas in the reserves havent been rewarded in the past as they should of been....

Franklin and Fletcher deserve a crack and with BOB out injured, Franklin I have heard is a classy left footer.....whilst Stokes andFletcher are similar perhaps its the latters turn to have a crack.....wouldnt mind both rucking and have Young up back or forward to add some height and experience. Bristow needs a gallop in the reserves after 3 weeks out injured. Barone has done ever so well coming back from his ACL last year and will definitely get a league debut this year.

Goaless qrtrs are always a worry and 3 so soon is a worry.....hopefully EF are due to kick straight soon, just fustrating to have it happen in the prelim and 3 games on the trot so far this year......players are to blame for that not the coaches......especially when its the experienced guys who are the culprits like Perham, Anthony, Dalziell etc.

Custy, Howlett is gone for the year due to work from what I have been told, whilst McGough always had a his wedding planned in April, getting injured before hand was part of the plan....its been great that Schleicher has been given a run and Regan too.

16 according to the West Australian Swan or about three quarters of the team. You would wonder why the team is still called Peel.....
