To clarify my comments re the bald umpire, I did not state he cost us the game, just that he is a disgrace to his profession. He is a terrible umpire, very lippy towards players and way too noticeable in every game I've seen him adjudicate this year. Yesterday was no different. Players from all sides need to wise up around this fella and not give him excuses as he loves to blow his whistle. Misses the obvious and pays the pedantic and ticky touchwood stuff consistently and both ways. Often calls his decisions from out of position with obstructed views. I call that guessing.

I noticed Mr Worobec was umpiring again and his whistle never stopped it was annoying.. In fairness he let a lot go for EF as well and he found kicks out of now where whilst missing the bloody obvious. How he got a finals game has me beat

For those who were not at the game some information:
5 goals was not a match winning lead as it was a 6 goal breeze at least
Swans never gave up or threw in the towel
The credit goes to east Freo for stopping Swans piling on more goals in the 3rd as we needed to be 7-8 goals in front
Notte on 1 leg hindered our options with no Ames we had no talls to play back

Well done to East Freo but those who were not at the game you wouldn't have a clue what went on so your comments are worthless

Watching as a neutral, I thought Parry's umpiring was as bad if not worse than Worobec. Both ways.

it was a gutting and very fustrating way to end a season, but really SD have only themselves to blame for handing their arse to EF on a plate in the last quarter to lose the game today...good to see SD colts were made of sterner stuff and were able to come from behind and win their game v Cl.....

Doesn't surprise me freeze, the whinging obviously starts at the top. Harding's interview at 1/4 time was an embarrassment - whinging about the first 4 goals for us. Then his smart arse comment to Dodd was also am embarrassment to someone in his position. Just makes their whole club an embarrassment and a bunch of p!$$ poor sports people imo.

If he had of been a true Swans coach he would have marched out and done a Toddy and given the umps a spray himself but being from Claremont that's his go.

fark off MO, all my brothers went to the game(only 1 is an EF fan the other are WP fans) and some of my mates(SF/EF) and they all passed on there versions of the game just like you SD boys have done.....so because they aren't SD fans and don't match your views they are deemed worthless?......FMD you guys are truly the Collingwood supporters of the WAFL......hopefully you have more teeth and less tatts than the ones I saw the other day chatting to Sam Newman on Street Talk

My opinion only but coaches should be concentrating on the things they can control which doesn't include the umpiring. At 1/2 time noticed 2 of our box (ftr not Harding) bitching about the umpiring as they walked down the Shark Park coaches box "ladder" (too steep to call that a stairwell)...never have witnessed a game where bitching about umpiring amongst coaches has changed a game and same rings true for Saturday's game. Someone raised on this site that Harding's 1/4 time speech to the ABC camera was aimed at the umpiring gifting EF 4 goals not that I saw or heard it. If true then it would suggest that the ABC commentary box along with Rocket Willet don't have the ability to influence the umpiring or the result of a match either, shockingly not even Judgey. Guess we'll have to leave winning a game of footy up to the players with a bit of footy educated input from coaches to assist with the tactical aspect of each game. Now there's a bombshell. In the mean time lets hope the umpiring panel can sort Worobec and his ego out so the game can be played without a whistle being blown every time the ball goes near him. Pay the obvious ones otherwise let the game flow.....pleeeeeeease!!!

Maybe there is one in hindsight...Do recall Mal Brown had a right proper crack one day at the umpires although unsure if it changed the result... Anyone out there who can recall the incident???
