You'd kicked either 5 or 6 in the last before the rain set in Freeze. Wind picked up throughout the 3rd where your mob did really well to hold us on the scoreboard by playing smart outer side boundary line footy in to the wind to limit scoring opportunities and save some energy for the last whilst the wind continued to pick up in to the last and it finally dragged the wet weather in for the last 20mins or so. Pretty much arrived as you hit the front although doubt the wet in the end made any difference. We were gone at that stage. Good luck next week in the unofficial GF. Don't forget your skis as I wouldn't be surprised one bit if you get over Subi this time round

Good point DW, it is the unofficial grand final. Obviously love the Sharks to win next week but I really think Subi are in another league than the Sharks and the Swans for that matter. If Oobi Doobi win next week then good luck to them. Whoever makes the grand final against the spineless ones I hope they do us proud.

if any of you EF boys are in need of a further chuckle after EF stirring come from behind win v SD, have a read of Swandogs whinge on the SD thread about his teams loss.....or should I say choke?...... .......umps, downhill skiing, front runners, duckers, divers and dodgey EF midfield tactics all to blame......bar his own sides incompetence and mental/physical frailty!!! ....

it was a gutting and very fustrating way to end a season, but really SD have only themselves to blame for handing their arse to EF on a plate in the last quarter to lose the game today...good to see SD colts were made of sterner stuff and were able to come from behind and win their game v Cl.....

Freezin if you get a chance to have the "pleasure" of watching Worobec umpire my condolences. One can only describe his umpiring as one of the following: incompetent, deliberately or wilfully biased. He should NEVER be allowed to umpire at any grade in any competition again after his performance on Sunday.

42.........the sad thing here is u and a few of your SD mates REALLY think this fella Worobec has it in for SD and seemingly no one else when he umpires any game SD are playing in. It really is school boyish stuff TBH. I get it mate I wasn't there and SD lost in the most fustrating way, but man up and point the finger at the Swannie players for once for allowing EF to over turn a 5 goal deficit in the approx 10 min of footy. SD have punched well above their weight or expectations this year,kudos to them for doing that.......but they only have themselves to blame for what happened on Sun.......

.it's fustrating, heart breaking etc I get it.....but that's footy.....easy for me to say my team won but move on mate you SD boys always rehash this "woe is us" the umps line when you lose?.....just make you boys look like bad losers...point the finger at Harding for not flooding EF forward line with extra SD defenders....point the finger at SD players for not playing simple man on man accountable footy and protect that 30 point buffer........in the 3rd quarter folk are telling me SD were all over EF yet after a 5 min rest between quarters they were too spent to protect a 5 goal lead?......which team were coming off the bye and which team had a week off to re energise tired bodies?.....

Swans did flood their backline, we had 8 defenders and Malaxos manned them up, we could have had 14 blokes down there and it wouldn't have mattered as east Freo got it out of the middle and controlled the game, that's footy as East Freo had the experience and took over the swans youngsters in the middle - young, McGough O'Brien
dalziell and Peake all took over, well done that's life and with that midfield they are a chance next week tho the east Freo backline apart from Dodd struggled, 24 at full back got a bath from Cary

hahaha...freezin...you're a brave man trying to talk sense with a SD supporter after their team gives up a match winning lead. I don't know why you're even bothering mate..of course it's the umpies fault, the weathers fault....christ I'm surprised IS didnt get a mention. it couldn't possibly be they weren't good enough or were out coached and out played. I'm the first to admit Subi were beaten by a better team yesterday but at least I can point to the fcat we weren't on a level playing field coming up against a team littered with professional footballers. oh, and btw...good luck in the real WAFL GF next Sunday...may the best team win.

..and what part of my previous isn't without merit or untrue or not sensible other than the IS part which was tongue in cheek? reading the stuff on the swans thread it appears one umpire cost you the game..how can that be when EF kicked 9 unanswered goals?

Watched the last qtr and a bit, Rob Young just keeps going. To me he is always under rated and forgoten in the lead up to games but he is one of my favourite players.
