O'Reilly and Walker both having some time away from footy apparently....both injury prone and can't blame them for having a break....perhaps a permanent one.....sign of the times I guess. Both lads missed out on a premiership due to injury, and Walker especially has spent more time off the park.... then on it.....

Here’s to a big 2025 Sharkies!!

Squad still has alot of talent - despite the loss of 8 Premiership players plus a couple more players of quality. Depth takes a hit but add Avery and Strnadica and a number of younger guys pushing up. If we stay healthy- should be a lock for the 5 and the impact of the younger guys could determine if in flag race.

No clear favourite at the moment, maybe a healthy Peel, so should be in the mix.

Hopefully Woey is working away behind the scenes to bring in some players- must be a few out there still.

I see  Cam Hall ex Perth, and Louis Wilson ex Cl,  have popped up on EF playing list, hopefully Hall can be another Marlin...about the same height....though not sure how accurate that WAFL site list is, as Hugh Dixon is listed on it for EF.....be handy if Dixon came back to play.

Another couple of new names on the EF WAFL list from over east.....Austin Hodge and Matthew Cassidy.....not showing on EF website, so who knows.....Can't see any last minute name recruits heading to EF at this stage....so looks like EF are going with some of those young reserves premiership players like Vladich, Austin, McManus, Campbell, Knight, Petersen, Wills, Cocking, Dean and Pauline.....and hope like hell some step up and our injury list is fudge all.

Cassidy from over East hey Freeze?
You will be hoping he turns out as good as the last Cassidy you blokes recruited from the East in Jeff.
Jeff was very dangerous around the goals for EF in the early 80s.

Yeah Jeff Cassidy was a good un BH.....loved a goal did Cassidy. Perfect replacement for Judgey when he went to Hawthorn.

Can’t imagine we’re bringing in any big guns now so we’re going to go in with a chunk of talent, leadership and depth missing. Team looks strong still- good enough to make finals, but will need some luck and a big year out of Jono Marsh and Cody Leggett.
