Freeze, do you think we will add much more?? I get the impression the financial situation has put a squeeze on our ability to attract top end talent. I'm guessing they back the youth in and get through the next few years

KC, one would assume our recruiting pot is pretty dry, time will tell I guess. I think Avery and Strnadica are quality players, and not sure why Josh Browne is on our list, but no announcement as such or yet..

The reseves premiership side had a number of colts eligible players on the day, so yes youth will be backed in. Pauline, Vladich, Austin, Campbell, McManus etc all showed promise during the year, so hopefully they will push for league honours.....plus Spadanuda and Yeo got some league exposure with WCER this year, whilst on loan, so hopefully they will come back.

Congrats to young Luke Urqhart on his AFL drafting, stays in the blue n white colors. Considering his major injury woes requiring major  surgery to get him on the park as junior, well  done to the young fella and his perseverance. 

Heard a strong rumour that Blakiston was seriously looked at by Geelong and St Kilda, but both clubs went for younger developing rucks. So commiserations to Blakiston for now, though still always those 2 other drafts I guess.

Looks like Blakiston, Strnadica and McGuire will provide EF with some decent rucking depth.

Went to check the first training session - light numbers with a lot of Senior players missing. Interestingly, Matthew Jupp trained. A few rumours about more players not returning (Walker, Joyce and O'Reilly) and a bit of talk about some potential new ins from Mandurah way - could be scuttlebutt of course.

Sounds like you could be on the money there KC.....all 3 had there fair share of injuries over the last few years....especially Walker and O'Reilly....cost them a premiership win.....
