So after 3 years , half of last Saturday’s side are imported recruits and get described as an undisciplined rabble by an experienced sports writer in the west . If you are happy with bill and feel he is in touch give him another 3 years  I say but I won’t be renewing my membership if they do Mick malthouse had success at Collingwood and eagles how did he leave Carlton in the end !!! Need a young person with people skills that’s the modern game as I see it

Interesting comments sharkies.  So you reckon Bill’s time as a modern day coach has past?  If you’re right, I certainly hope the board are thinking the same - big indictment on Bill.  Hope you don’t withhold your membership though, people doing that really hurt the club.  I would try the pen before the sword.

Mate where are you gettin" after the 3 years" from?....1 full year in 2019, 9 games in 2020 and 6 games in 2021.....and don't forget he took over a squad that won 5 games in 2017/18 total....how long did it take Spalding and how many spoons to get Perth on the straight and narrow?...or was that Shields doing?....definitely  didn't take Earl 35 games....more like 60-70 games.....to get Perth being competitive most weeks.

Not saying Monaghan is the man for the job, but came to the club with a pretty good coaching record at WP.....so I guess the board, right or wrong,  has to back up their choice....but atleast no contract extension has been signed without a few more wins on the board....definitely hearing the logic behind a younger more younger  generation savvy choice in Taylor or Hardingham.....would definitely embrace either those pics....but for now it's Bill....it is what it is.

8 recruits out of 22 by my calculations, but lets not let the facts get in the way of the story. Seems normal when looking at other lists. You mention local talent, surely Bockman, McGuire, Baskerville, Bennett, Murdock, Meade, O'Reilly and Strnadica have all been developed nicely under Buffalos watch? They must really struggle with old Man Bill. Same with Marsh, Leggett, Tucker, Dixon,, English and Schoenfeld- why did they come to EF to be coached by an out of touch Coach? Overall record is decent but needs results now.

I'm glad the board has held off. Let's see where we sit at the end of the season and judge then.

What was the "obscene gesture" that Marsh and Eardley were reprimanded for and who was it directed towards? I've never heard of a player being cited for that before.

For the record Cameron Eardley was reprimanded for rough conduct on Kane Mitchell - not an obscene gesture.

It was Kommer and Marsh. A likely duo I would have thought.

After next 2 rounds probably be 3 wins 6 losses look who East have beaten and how they  have played against top 4 teams ? Progress I think not  but give him more time ? Spalding at Perth left With absolutely nothing to work with and not a great junior district but got the team on the same page and communication skills very good

Not sure how sacking him now is gonna help....there is no way Hardingham, Woewodin or Taylor  are going to jump ship right now with their current commitments....so who takes over? No contract extension has been offered, till results improve....so not sure what the problem is here....it's a catch 22...for Monaghan to be flicked, EF need to keep losing, which every EF fan has had enough of these past 5 years....if EF win then obviously Monaghan will stay and get another contract.....which obviously some folk here don't want....all EF fans want are wins and some finals footy....regardless of whose coaching....

There's a few agendas here, Freeze- and haven't seen any logic to most of the arguments- bar FF2 and his board comments- which I'm not totally across. At present we sit 5th at 3-3 with a percentage over 100 and yet the walls are caving in!

How have SD, EP, Peel and WCE gone against the top 4?
