With the State game over, EF has a run of 3 tough games ahead before their next bye v Cl, SD and SF....good test to see where EF stacks up....3/2 would of been taken at the start of round 1....definitely got lucky v Peel and WCE in terms of alignment availability...but good wins none the less.....EP have pushed SF and SD, so hopefully EF can measure up v those sides when EF plays them....an undermanned Subi rolled Cl, so who knows what will happen next Sat when EF & Cl meet.

On the injury front the COVID bye and State bye has enabled some of those injured EF boys time to recover without losing matches.....obviously Chalmers and Murdock won't be back for the foreseeable future, though quite surprised a finger injury has outed Chalmers for 5 weeks and going off the injury list another 8 weeks to go.

Yep, great tests ahead but to be honest, not many easy games in the WAFL this season. I can't help but think that the poor performance against Perth will come back to haunt us.

I'm pretty sure Chalmers needed an operation- so expect that's why the long delay. But you're right- wouldn't think a broken finger would see him out for that amount of time- so maybe something more sinister.

The longer we can hang in the finals race the better- this time over the past few years its been done and dusted.

This run of 3 could be a coach maker or coach killer.  Hope Bill gets them up for at least 2 wins out of 3.
Harry Taylor was on the ABC Sat morning and was very interesting to listen to.  Hope he hangs around so we can pick him up for some position next year.

Off topic so apologies in advance but it was nice to catch up with The Rock and Strono last Saturday at Melville Ammos. Good blokes and passionate EF supporters.

You’ll probably find that all Sharks supporters are quite reasonable people face to face BC.......

And I believe the East Fremantle v Claremont fixture this week being covered on SportFM. The weather for the weekend is forecast to be raining. Sounds like some wet weather footy on the way.

Weather is a bit of a bummer as it neutralises an advantage EF have over Claremont with our big forwards. Sharks and Tigers have had a couple of close games in recent years that EF have come out on the losing end. Not sure if many changes- O’Reilly may be available but will he come in?

Yeah sounds like a wet one....good to see young Gorringe debut.....perhaps Bailey may play due to the rain, but is here mobile then Dixon?...'plus Dixon is a Tassie boy, so well versed in wet weather footy one would think, despite his height.

Another slow start....similar to the Perth loss, chasing ones tail after allowing the opposition a 6 goal first quarter....even harder when it's wet.....looks like Gorringe was good on debut, hopefully he gets better and better....piss poor effort by the reserves, so not sure what changes the coaches will make.....definitely missed Murdock in these conditions....probably Chalmers silk as well....no excuses though, definitely need to take a leaf out of Perth's footy book of spirit and bring it to every contest.....

Next week SD....they will be looking for a win to keep in touch, their midfield touched EF up last year, so hopefully with Schoenfeld and English as additions, EF can be more competitive in the middle....definitely need more from the tall forwards though.....SD have Palmer this year, so he has added to their forward line.....though both teams seem to struggle for goals......should be a good battle between Gault and Strnadica  too.
