i'm amazed after last week's performance that their is only one change to the team and that is due to dobbos injury.you could not get into the change rooms after the game last week which means the coach must have been furious but not furious enough  to try something different..

Is it loyalty to those players or lack of depth?  Or perhaps lack of imagination at the selection table.

Other than Corey Watts who i would've played, the only other player with league potential, and capable of Impacting a game is Sebit but other than that ,the cupboard is very bare. There's several other players than can fill a role but won't do much to elevate you up the league ladder, and i'm baffled why a current senior player who was pirouetting and kicking 50 metres on the training track last week is still on the injured list as he almost looked good to go in the Derby.

Perhaps the player that tagged the claremont player to a third of his normal possessions would have been a good choice to play on schoilthe, perhaps having a FF even tho' he has yet to have a break out game would be another perhaps perhaps perhaps. The fact remains that no matter who comes in we will stuggle.

We play a panic style where others play a construed chaos plan whn we go into the forward 50!
We live in a time where intelligent people are being silenced so stupid people won't be offended

maybe the coach thinks watts needs another run in the twos.i was hoping he might play as it would give us the option of maybe playing blee up forward.i wouldn't play ajang at the moment.giving us nothing as a ruck or forward.would rather use simpson as a backup ruck and have sebit as a forward..coach needs to be more creative.i know we lack depth and inform players in the twos but we need to try something different.

Hi everyone. I'm a long time watcher on this forum and a very keen EP supporter and get to most games for Ressies and League and watch a bit of training from the outer when I can. I do enjoy a lot of the opinions and remarks on this forum, and of course the banter...I am new to the comments part and look forward to joining the conversations at times. Hopefully we can pull ourselves out of the position we are in at the moment. I am sure the boys are feeling it, but need to get back to some basic play for the jumper football. Seems to be a few out on the paddock in both ressies and seniors, that are not interested in playing their role for the team and are more interested in racking up their stats. I have never been one to take much out of disposal stats. Effective disposal stats would give us a much more accurate indication of who is being effective, but we know that will never happen. The ressies game last week was frustrating to watch, as the amount of times players were open for a quick handball or kick and were basically ignored so the player in possession could try and beat 4 players then proceed to turn over was ridiculous. Until we start to reward the players that do the team thing, then our game plan will not work effectively. Anyway, thats my 2 cents worth. Hopefully we can get on the board again tomorrow. Cheers.

welcome to the forum.last week in the league game it was a case of baisc things were not executed properly.easy marks dropped.sloppy kicking and handball.when you create turnovers then good sides will make mince meat out of you.hopefully the skills will be better tomorrow.

Welcome Mark and a very good post.  I think we will start to play some good football before the season is out.

Welcome Markymark, good to see another Royal on here, I may not say that if the Royals were doing well
I hear what you are saying about statistics,  but even "effective disposals" is a very subjective statistic. As we all know there is some effective disposals in a game of footy that is worth ten effective disposals. Statistics can be and often are a load of bullshit
