Totally agree with you on this Chaddy ..1st quarter killed us..We did not adapt and change to what WP came out with...From there on, we were under the pump and put the pressure on ourselves and after some horrible skill errors we lost confidence. Even though there were some good moments in there rest of the game, giving up 6goals to zip, is always going to be a big ask to get back from. I have confidence that we can back into the winners circle, and hopefully get some games into some of our hard working reserve players. We won't know how some will react in the league until we give them a good run at it. Some of them have come up and played their roles well and shown they can match it with the big boys, but have been dropped back to make way for league players coming back in. Go the royals

Welcome Mr Wahlburg, as my nom de plume says I am the grumpy one and the moderator for our thread, that just means I get grumpy when topics are hijacked and go completely off track but hey welcome.

I like the comments abt stats especially disposals, we have 4 players who rack them up but perhaps one is worth the effort. WE need more players like Stan Wright who may make mistakes but his disposals break lines and are fairly effective.

Have a good one and your thoughts of the game today will be welcome, I am having lunch with the ma in law, 101 years old, so you never know what lies around the weeks end.

Thank you fellow posters for your plaudits,and very happy for my old mate Barney who gave the old week is a long time speech,and mentioned that if he was still in Melbourne,he would've contemplated driving off the Westgate bridge after Mondays Derby debacle,and congratulations to Nathan Blee who played his 150th and  Stan Wright who played his 50th and well done to the team for playing with Old Royals passion and guts and commemorated those milestones with a committed team effort, and lets please stop talking about Barney's future because he ain't going nowhere!!!!
