Hear what you're saying AD.
Muchus Gracious and thank heavens we have Sport FM. You city folk are lucky to receive said station on the wireless. I need to log on and listen on-line which is fantastic if the internet connection behaves. Hopefully KIX is broadcasting Wafl next season. Can't afford to lose it.

Confident he will be a regular next year BC

I hope so DG. He's not the most fashionable player going around but imo he's very effective. Back to yesterday, obviously Borchet to come back in but I'd be looking closely at Hoskins and Fimmano as well. Fimm is a premiership player and got it 20+ times in the ressies yesterday so is in pretty good form. Hoskins is that run with we need to shut down Schloithe, Dragovic if we play Souths or Bolton or Mitchell if the Tiges get up. Schloithe got hold of us in the first half yesterday and was surprised Wardman didn't put a hard tag on him. He was a bit less dangerous in the second half but does hurt you when given space and time. The GF should be a ripper no matter who we play.

I dont know how they keep doing it Ted being overwhelming underdogs each week and all!!!

Not sure we will see Hoskins again, apparently he went off injured early in the 1st qtr in the ressies, also does anyone know whats up with Locks, didn't play after halftime.

As for the game, ugly but super competetive contest up to halftime, both teams very physical and the tackling was exceptional. No space for either side but we did butcher a few chances, couldn't create any space. Backline was terrific, the mids for both teams were bottled up so not many quality inside 50's for either side. We broke the game open in the 3rd when Wardman moved Waters to FF and moved Sok out to the 50, opened up the forward line and Reece marked anything that came near him, most were hard contested marks. I thought Souths looked tired in the third which let our mids off the leash and in particular Newton took full advantage, his disposal was first class as was Kitch and Horse. Dela battled hard against a dominant (in the hitouts) Higgins but not his usual effectivness around the ground. Even game at qtr time just 4 points up at the half then 6 to zip in the 3rd to give us the winning lead. As I said Souths looked to tire in the 3rd but ran the game out well with some late last qtr goals when we had taken the foot off. People wonder why we win, well today was a great example, matched by an equally skillful and committed team for a half but Souths could not stay with us fitness wise after halftime, balanced that with the fact that Souths had a hard game last week but for all the comments about Subi, it's our fitness and conditioning that wins most games, thats something any club can do if the players are committed to doing the hard yards, extra training sessions and time in the gym which has nothing to do with money, more to do with mindset.
Best for us imho Newton, Walters, Kitch, Horse and Clark.
Prelim should be a ripper, expect SF to win given Claremont have lost Richo with a colarbone, great player for CL and that may have been his last game.

Nice summation SS...a special shout out to Braut as well as I thought he was terrific. I'm not sure about Lockyer as I'm pretty certain he was on the ground at various stages after half time...maybe he's being managed as he did hurt his knee against the bogans and missed the second last qualifying game against the jerkers....don't know.

Locks and hopefully Hoskins can get right over the next 2 weeks, Borch back in which gives better balance to the forward line and Marsh can head back to the backline or wing, he did well to get the footy but kicked like a true backman. I'm a big wrap for Braut, built like tarzan and plays like tarzan, he would do a good job at CHF I reckon good hands and can kick both sides equally as well. Clang will come into the mix as well, competed strongly in the ressies but that Hannabil Lector face guard he was wearing obviously affected his reading of the footy. Young TEB has some x-factor about him, only had 9 disposals but bagged 3 goals and his pace and chase was good with 5 tackles, should keep his place for the GF.

As you say SS...tough times at the selection table next week as Fimmano must come into calculations as well.

You can only play 22, not your whole squad of 52.

Very true Roman but I can see Atkinson (6 possessions), Stainsby (4) and Beverley (8 possies) making way for Borchet, Wheeler and Fimmano. Wheeler and Borchet into the attack with Wheels giving Dela a hand in the ruck. Fimmano into the mids and Harry Marsh going back down into defence...a bit of a no brainer for mine.
