BC wrote: Here's an injury update off the Subi website. It sounds like Newton is doubtful and Wheels as well.

Craig Hoskins (quad) is listed as a test ahead of the Semi-Final clash against South Fremantle this weekend, with Hayden training with the playing group and running freely from his setback and will be in contention for selection this week, according to Subiaco Senior Coach, Beau Wardman.

Ben Newton is also listed as a test after injuring his wrist.
“We will give Newts every chance to get back on the park this week. He has been tracking well and able to maintain his running,” Wardman said.

Clancy Wheeler came off with a broken nose in the reserves game against West Perth on Sunday.
“Shocking incident for Clancy on Sunday, he has suffered a broken nose and a few stitches but might still be able to get out on the weekend. He is very courageous but we will have to wait until the end of the week with some more medical advice as to happens this weekend,” Wardman said.

Simon Moore and Jakob Atkinson both came off the field injured in Subiaco's last home game of the 2019 Optus WAFL Premiership Season, with neither player returning to the field.
“Both boys have been tracking well and will return to Subiaco colours this week. Certainly having the week off has helped to manage the boys through and we took a conservative approach with them. Looking forward to seeing the boys back out there on the weekend. ”

Newton and Clang would be bonuses if they can get up the important one for me is Hoskins as he would be really important as a run with player on ducker Schloithe or Dragovich. While we have lost just the 1 game this season and that was against Souths, we are not the same team as last year with nearly half of last years GF team not there so i expect a really top contest from 2 quality teams in what looks to be perfect conditions, Souths have hit some really solid form late in the season and dominated Cl for 3 qtrs last week before putting the cue in the rack. Looking forward to it.

With Vermeersch not named, Borchet suspended, Wheeler and Newton injured and none of the others in Waters, Matera, Moore and T E-B contributors but not big goal scorers I'm not sure who's going to kick a winning score. Powell and Moore in is a good but we're a real chance to get rolled here.

Our backline looks rock solid so Souths wont have it all there way in their forward line which is quality but our backs are the best in the comp. Interesting if big Braut does line up at FF, he will be an intimidating prospect for the Souths FB. Surprised Verm did not get a run.

Bit light on in the ruck stocks though, have too say it has me somewhat uneasy heading into this one against South) - Higgo is the comps premier ruckman and poor little Dela is flat out winning a ruck tap against ordinary ruckman let alone one of Higgo's calibre (can't even win them against Eyres and apparently he is pretty ordinary)
Perhaps with big Sutho named on the bench perhaps he is a likely inclusion to counter Higgo, which could leave Dela to play a more traditional ruck rover role (rack up the possessions while gaining a few hit outs) in the way Stephen Michael used to in state games.

Is KIX Digital up and running again? Anyone know?
I forgot to check last week.
Disappointing that Sport FM is covering the other match.
But if that KIX station is back online, perhaps they might be covering the Subiaco - South Fremantle match?
One would certainly hope so.

Geez, not sure how these figures came to be.
Apparently Subiaco are quoted at 1$ and 18c for the win. Then Souths are said to be sitting on 4 dollars,70c for the win.
I thought it would be closer than that.

I wouldn't mind having a sneaky piece of the Souths action at $4.70.

According to the footy budget, ABC & KIX are broadcasting.
