I merely state last week I read SD apparently beat a similar level side to Subi in Peel on pure passion for the SD jumper....yet you don't mention the passionless display by SD yesterday, it was down to inequality of WAFL resources? ......true Peel and Subi have monetary/facility/playing superiority over the rest of the WAFL(bar EP)....but I truly get confused when passion is mentioned coming to the fore in victory over one, yet blame unfairness and inequality when you lose to the over.?.....you say I am stirring as usual, I think I am just highlighting the inconsistencies with your argument......as I did when the Subi boys aired their frustrations after losing to Peel in the GF last year.....
as for what I will do when the WAFL is no more?.....well TBH in my eyes the WAFL went on life support when WCE joined the VFL in 87 and then the WAFL life support was turned off when Freo joined the AFL in 95.....whatever we have now and had since 1995 is a shadow of what I define as the WAFL through my time watching the comp through the 70's and 80's......when Freo were formed in 1995 and EF won the flag in 94....I saw the writing on the wall and headed overseas for an adventure and have sporadically been back to watch the WAFL since....when I have, the quality of football is average at best compared to my previous experiences ..unlike you the WAFL appears to be your winter existence...... TBH I worry for your state of mind when the WAFL is no more than my own.....but hey life goes on.
Let's start with the obvious: were you at the game keeping track of the free kicks or are you relying on a source that had BOTH SWANS and PEEL receiving more free kicks for than against in a game where they played each other?
I will cite three instances where Swans were penalised a 50 metre prenalty. The first I don't know why it was awarded, the second was where a Swans's player did not return the ball directly to the player (both were within 60 meters or so of Subiaco's goal. The third instance where the ball was knocked out of a Swans's players hands (in the backline) and no 50 metre penalty was paid.
According to the site that you presumably quoted from had at half time Subiaco had 2 free kicks and Swans had 8. Supposedly one of the two free kicks was when a Swans's player was on the ground attempting to gain possession of the ball when a Subiaco ran in and initiated contacted with the Swans's player NOTE NOT THE OTHER WAY AROUND) and the Subiaco player was given the free kick.
As for the ABSOLUTE CRAP of Swans destroying the competition because we scored 1 goal in 3/4 you are patently ridiculous in that suggestion. I have supported Swans from the 1960s and we have had some horrendous seasons, think 2016, but the reality is that Subiaco finished with one loss in the home and away games last year. Given by BC's own admission Subiaco is under strength at the moment it looks like they will go through the 2018 home and away season undefeated and probably by a average winning margin of at least 8 goals. And that is what is destroying the competition in conjunction with the host club alignment.
Don't kid yourself your raison d'etre on this site is to stir. I will not apologise to you or to anyone that I am strident in my criticism of those who want to destroy a competition that is well over 120 years old. Perhaps to give you a perspective I presume your dad took you to East Freo to watch East Fremantle; I personally have spoken to a Swans's life member who would like to have that opportunity to take his son to Basso to watch Swans.
