I'm really looking forward to this one. I think Perth are heading in the right direction fo the first time in years. Both teams probably have the best midfields in the comp as I really rate Troppo, McKenna, Jacobs and obviously Clint Jones. Should be a great game and hopefully our rock solid defence will get us over the line.

Agreed BC. Subi will be caught napping if they start like they did against the Garlics. Superior fitness and the experienced midfield might see us up.

Cant see any changes, Broughts may come in if he's ready although would be good to give him a run in the 2's first, will need him fully fit against the Doggies at the end of the month who are running hot and are the form team at the moment.

Bradley did play better against the Munchers and I can see why he's getting a gig, to add some height which we drastically lack. It's our defence and experienced mids that are really doing the job. The whole forward line is yet to click, it's been cameos from 1 or 2 that have been the contributors, on Saturday it was Shaq & Sokol who could have kicked 6 if he was on target, prior to that it's been young Clarke and Halligan .... who's the other in if he's fit. It should be a really solid forward line with Shepheard, Sokol, Halligan & Shaq. I would be moving Shepheard out to CHF to give him more space, he's super mobile and can kick 50+m, then a 3 way change using Dela, Clang & Bradley through the ruck, FF & bench. That setup with the backing of some goals from the mids should provide enough scoring power. I noticed that Schoey was resting a couple of the mids on the HFF late in the game which does add to the equation and real quality players that the opposition has to find a matchup for.

I reckon it's almost a certainty that Mahoney will get the run with gig on Trop (if playing) or McKenna this week, he did a great job to keep the prolific Black to 23 touches on Saturday while collecting 22 himself and looking further down the track I can see Kennedy running with Hams when we play Souths, we cannot allow Hams to run free and Kennedy is so short that Hams wont be able to duckdive under his tackles.

Classic Senior. Kennedy has been really impressive, close to BOG for me. He was rarely beaten after quarter time.

The sooner we get big Madut back the better for mine as at least he can halve the ruck contest and maybe give us first use on occasions...he also started to show a bit around the ground before he got injured. that way it releases clanger and dela to play forward for big chunks of time. i'm not sure how far away Madut and Stevo are atm but if and when we get both back plus Halligan and Rhys Waters, the forward line will be bloody scary....throw Broughto down back as an attacking defender and ball carrier through the transition to complement twomey and I think we're going to be ok. the big issue is getting most if not all on the park at the same time.

With Madut out for what looks like an extended time(as he was in a leg/knee brace)what your take on moving Shep to CHF? I think he would be better value there than FF. If he doesn't take the mark he brings it to ground and with Shaq, Clarke & Halligan hovering it should work well. Some of Shaq's work reading off the pack was terrific up at Joondy.

Being a Perth supporter in a full time basis for 7 or 8 years leaves one to a certain degree of resignation, yet I am quietly confident this week.
Victorians still laugh at West Aussies because of the way we bailed out the vfl and then allowed it to be called it the AFL!
