if it's wet SS than Seaby playing will mean fark all, actually Maduts athleticism may come to the fore......Cl look too top heavy with Maister, Cameron, Bradley, Hamp and Seaby in the same side....can see your better mids doing the damage here along with Yarren et al up front....can't see you guys losing to be honest and Cl like Subi are just as much due a loss too.

Perhaps you haven't seen much of Seaby playing the last few weeks freezin because dry and fine or wet and heavy it doesn't matter Seaby is a major factor . Looking forward to watching this ruck duel, maduts high leaping style of rucking is a way to beat Seaby but takes a lot of stamina and size.

Mids will be the key for sure - big men & marks will prob not be the order of the day ???

Subis backs have been good but are now missing half of them in rumba, stevo & wortho although the replacements are good they'll be up against some in form forwards.
Deluca up forward for us will be vital as it doesn't look like Yarran weather ???

The Tiggers were good when they played us 1st up and they've improved dramatically since then - have Subi improved as much ??? Probably not but Subi by 3 goals only because it's wet ???

Another good win Robbo played well for a bloke out for the year & Boland kicked a couple in the magoos. Everyone did their bit with Menegola & Phelan best for mine.

Wish our season ending players in Jones, Kerr, Martin and Alexander would amazingly reappear ! Hopefully a good game next week, thanks for beating Claremont ;)

Probably fair to say if Subiaco get over West Perth next week that they have sewn the minor premiership up, if they haven't done so already.

A great day for Subi
Colts struggled, ressies played well and league surprised as I thought it would be closer.

Firstly - Well done on Robbo playing when we were told in the Worst Australian he was out for the year ???

The wind was fairly strong pushing towards the Stirling hwy end and Subi did well in a fairly even 1st quarter getting a late goal to even up the score kicking against the breeze. This helped to set up the game early.
Subi players started well with the best being Menengola, Lockyer, Kitchin, Latham and for the Tiggers -
Andrews, Ledger, Neates and Yeo.

In the second the Tiggers hit the post early then Della had a great grubber snap in front of where I was sitting in a reasonable crowd for a Tiggers Subi battle on a average looking day. Wheeler missed another sitter from a set shot ( he's got the yips at the moment and his dropping of the footy onto his boot is pretty average )
halligan scored a major with Maister for Claremont playing as a spare man down back. Kitchin kicked a soccer goal and in the blink of an eye the Lions were up by 25pts @ the 21min mark. Claremont did well with a late goal against the breeze. Best for the Tiggers Yu down back, Ledger, Yeo, Neates, Busher and Andrews.
For Subi Menengola, Phelan, Latham, Hancock, Heal and Madut.

In the 3rd Subi started with a forward line against the breeze with Yarran at FF Wheeler and Deluca in the pockets, Della at CHF and Halligan and Mahoney on the flanks. A nice balanced forward line if we could get it down there against the breeze ??? It was a worry early with Claremont getting a goal in under a minute and Subi couldn't get it past our half forwards for about the 1st half of the 3rd quarter. Subi got a goal at the 16min mark after starting to get it down there with some great off the ball work from Deluca to set up a lead that was always going to be hard for the Tiggers to catch as the clouds got darker and we headed for the stands in the last b4 the rain hit.

In the last the rain came and Subi maintained their pressure tackling and forcing it into their 50m line with regularity. The Tiggers battled hard but their big men weren't influential and the Subi on baller brigade were just too good in the wet. Actually Subi played just as well if not better in the rain as they did in the dry. Getting the first goal they killed the contest. Holding the Tiggers goalless and kicking 3 with the breeze in the wet was a great effort !!! Woodsy even had a few touches and a couple of goals after being fairly quiet earlier, Madut battled away and tackled well in the last but Menengola, Robinson, Phelan,Heal, Lefanu and Lockyer were best for Subi over the whole game. For the Tiggers Ledger, Yeo, Yu down back and Davies and Neates were their best throughout the day.
Subi tackled so well and kept forcing it forward all game. Maister, Seaby, Bradley ( up against young Declan Jackson) McAdam, and Willet had no influence on the match at all hence with too many passengers Subi had a solid win.
Horse battled well in his first game back and Della battled on well in weather not ideal for a big fella.
Subis backline performed very well all game when you consider it is virtually totally different in today's game from last years GF line up.

I look forward to playing the Tiggers in the dry next time we meet and it may be closer but well done on a great challenging win by Subi and they sung the song with gusto and I could hear them shouting it out loud as I left the ground with a smile on my face - well done Subi mission accomplished

Enjoyable day at the showgrounds, despite the 15min downpour the weather was ok. Well done to Claremont with the family day, plenty for my little one to do in the outer with the gym bus and other activities. Menegola was everywhere and clearly our best. Really impressed with Madut's progress this year, good tap work and really contributes with good 2nd efforts, even throws body around a bit to make his presence felt. Loved the way Deluca attacks the contests, he may give away a few frees but there is no way I want him to change his game and when the rain came down he was in his element. Our back line once again stood tall, noticed Lockyer and LeFanny contributing well. Great to see Horse back and getting plenty of it despite the distraction of a few nice fillies in the equestrian arena at half forward. Big challenge next week as South Gero is always a hard away game.

Agree totally mate. I kept a close eye on Deluca and as I said in my summary he does a shit load of work off the ball that just doesn't come up in the stats.
