Pretty strong win today, nothing in it until late in the 3rd when we started to get on top & blew them away in the 4th. Yarran & Wheeler were easily our best with 5 each, Clancy was good all over the ground. Madut is getting better, although Seaby didnt play, still I dont think i've seen him take a mark but he held his own against Andrews & Kepler. Liked Kitchin & Lockyer, young Bryan showed a bit & Bletch had it alot. Menegola didnt play. Really only needed one power qtr to win...just like the good old days ;)

Good win, but a scrappy game first up which is not unexpected, very windy which made delivery difficult. Our mids look very strong, Kitchen looks a straight swap for Brissy, hard at it and probably a yard or two faster and a better kick, Blech was terrific, big body in the clinches and fierce at the contest, Lockyer & Bryan look likely types and Fimano will be good, has genuine pace. Probably one of the pacier lineups I've seen for some time, then add Robbo & Menagola to that group and we will be hard to match up. Madut was serviceable but as mentioned needs to take more marks, his tapwork was good and he was good at the physical stuff which helped the mids. He was up against a good ruck in Andrews but the game would have been a lot closer if Seaby was playing.

Yarradonna was in great form with 5 majors, 2 were freakish soccer goals, should be a 50+ goal player for us and when Boland returns which will be next week (he was crook all week)our forward line will be a handful. For me Clanger was BOG, did it up forward with 5 plus worked hard around the ground, then Yazza followed by Blech & Kitchen for my best.

Backs were very good with Stevo & Wortho continuing their form from last years finals and the grand old man keeping everyone on task .... must be hard yakka running around with 5 premiership medals around your neck!!

Spoke to the trainers at the huddle and Boland, Menagola and Robbo are all expected to be available for the gummies which will be a very big ask down on their paddock next Saturday, should be a ripper game.

On Claremont, they had a lot of first pick players out and will have a slow start but once they get everyone on the paddock they will be a handful, they have a great kid in first gamer Macadam, touch of magic about him.

Roll on the Gummies.

should be a great midfield contest next week boys......both teams have very strong midfields......reckon Subi have a bit more variety up front though.....Menagola to tag Anthony perhaps......Madut v Stokes will be a replay of some reserves footy from last year......like I said Subi's greater mix of tall and small forwards will definitely keep EF defence on their toes.....especially with no Howlett too......be interesting who Subi put on Hampson as well

Well it won't be either Menagola or Hancock BC that's for sure.....both are pretty soft ;) ......touch wood George kicks 10 and Anthony & Dalziell give Sam and Scotty the run around!

If Subi get it up forward more than the Sharks I think we'll win. Wheeler, Delehunty and hopefully Boland back in will strech the Sharks backs plus some good small forwards to keep them busy. If the Sharks mids can get it up foward more than us then they're a big big chance !!! Wortho on Hampson is the match-up I think ???
Looking forward to the game but its a long season and I wouldn't go judging the winner or looser on this early performance.

Sharks need someone to do a job on Yarran - he's cut them up (like Ali Pickett) every time he's played them !!!
