Luke Newick was one but I agree with you AR we should have looked at a big man to replace McDougall and this has been made more apparent by Stockley's injury. Will give an opportunity for a youngster to step up and I like the look of Jordan Bestry.

I'm with Ark a replacement for McDougall should have been a priority. Fitzpatrick/Burton, Keene/Scott, Keene/Jones, Newick/Miller, Newick with help from Parker, McDougall/Stockley. Every successful season we were strong in the ruck, we will struggle this year imo...

come on lads have faith in those boys who got Subi to a reserves GF as well.....Madut, Bestry etc.....all those boys need is a chance.....like what Blakely got at SD last year and Lobb the year before that.....Higgins at SF too.....ruckmen don't win you a flag, if so Freo would of have won 5 by now with Sandilands winning every hit out most games!

Ruck taps etc may be overated however i believe you still need big men around the ground to compete and last year Stockley, McDougall and Wheeler were able to at least half the contests most of the time against EP etc and our mids had a chance then to win the ball against them. Without the big experienced bodies around the contests the opposition can take control and provide their team with first use on most occasions.

So who thinks Subi would have won the 88 flag without Keene?

They should've all just left myself & Freeze to sort the deal then we would have Bristow now
