well...here we are mid-week and it's probably time to start a thread on this weeks GF. Hopefully, Horse will be ok as he seemed to cop a corky or similar last week during the second qtr from memory. otherwise it appears we came out of the 2nd semi unscathed. for mine, buddy should miss out and either an extra mid like Blechy or another forward such as Halligan to come in. I'm not sure we need Frank back as the Sharks aren't overly tall and Dougs backed up by Wheeler and Dela should be able to get the business done.

Given we beat them only a couple of weeks ago in a game that was meaningless for both sides, I still think we should win. Subi by 15 points. If I knew someone who had a trophy shop i'd get a pseudo premiership cup made up and sit it on the fence line just to give the WAFC the chits. B)

Agree with most of what you say BC but I think Stocks can come in as all 4 of the talls are very mobile and can really stretch the Gummies backline if we rest our rucks in the pocket which gives Boland some additional support. He needs to move around more and be on the lead more often which is easier to do if you have one of the monsters backing him up in the square with a Deluca or Halligan at their feet. Todays West finally had a WAFL article about the game only took till Thursday to have any sort of promotion!!! In that article it stated that Hampson is very unlikely to be risked but being essentially the GF if he's reasonably close to being fit you'd have to play him, if we win and he doesn't pull up well he'll only miss the exhibition game. Looks like being a dry warmish day, or by Adelaide FC standards, a scorcher, it may give Hildo a reprieve as his gut running will be more effective on a fast track. I really liked the look of Halligan in the 2's the last couple of weeks, he's been a scoring machine and is a bigger body than Buddy so would like to see him take Buddy's place. Surely Yarran will not play as badly this week so expect some goals and his usual heap of assists this week.

We must clamp down on the O'Brien boys, they regularly cut us up and I'd love to see Horse have a chat with the umps prior to the game asking them to watch closely the continual ducking that the smaller O'Brien uses to milk frees, it's a blight on the game, besides he's such a great player there's no need for it, but while the umps continue to get sucked in he'll continue to do it. It's very risky as one day due to his ducking he'll cope a nasty head high hit.

yep..agree re ROB SS. he's almost as bad as that other little squirt Neates? from Claremont who has turned throwing his head back to con the umps into a free whether he's been contacted high or not. I was sitting behind George last Sunday and he indicated to someone else that his finger is broken but also has a quad which is dodgy and wasn't sure if he's make it back or not. definitely wont see him back for the GF this week but as you say, may make it for the exhibition match if we get through.

Is it worth making the first high tackle count and spreading his nose over his face. Only joking of course those tactics are long gone.

Agree LB, back in the day (60's) he would have lasted 5 minutes before being sorted out for that sort of rubbish.
