yes Leo it's me. "The Fan" en la lengua de Castellano Argentino....jaja

Ok, true enough, Madut is nowhere near the finished article yet but even so, he's pretty exciting already and I always believe we should push through guys with that much talent into the league side as quickly as possible, even if he's just the understudy to Sinclair and Wheeler and spending time on the bench.

Yeah, good stuff Chop. Looking forward to seeing you. Can't wait for the footy to start to be honest. Nah, I meant 4 recruits in total at the club, not for one year. Like 4 players from the VFL with 60 games experience, 23-25 years of age.

It's not just subi. I don't reckon many of the WAFL clubs are recruiting well at the moment. It's as though they are just filling up their 130 points with anybody for the sake of it.

I should mention also in fairness to Madut (And big Bestry as well who is another good one) in regard to the stats that they both shared the ruck duties. So there was one on the ball and one on the bench usually and sometimes Bryce Denysiuk and Aidan Ietto were rucking as well. So the stats are basically half a game (50 minutes).

It's kinda weird actually. Having not had hardly any talls, let alone good talls at colts level for a decade, we look like having 10 blokes over 193cm in the 2013 colts squad - Bestry, Ietto, Denysiuk, Hooper, Jackson, Evans, Creeper, Bunn and Foley plus 15 year old AIS squad member Greg Clark.

Good times ahead.

whilst I envy Subi's future tall stocks, sadly in a world where there are a bucket load of AFL clubs and two AFL affiliated WAFL clubs, sadly Subi maybe seeing these boys no further than at the colts level....and who knows if the AFL start state academies, some of those boys probably won't wear their clubs jumper even at the colts level...

It's very likely that a few of those will get drafted mate. Maybe up to 4 of them.

Ben I think all WAFL clubs are struggling to get top quality recruits - We don't have enough money to offer them and they need jobs plus the price of housing be it renting or buying is way too high.

The days of getting prized recruits are over and if anyone will get them in the future it will be the EP Eagles or the Peel Dockers as they have the added advantage of getting more recruits and the ability to be under a AFL clubs eye the whole season so they can look at getting them possibly on their list the next year. This will often be a bullshit situation where all they realy want is good quality players around their investment 2nd tier players. Also good players to learn off and help with development.

Similar situation with Cockie when he followed Waters over East - They can leave those players hanging in their ressie sides and have a look at them. It's a free hit for the AFL clubs.

The AFL clubs are smarter than people give them credit for and are protecting their main investment - "future footballers"

As for the WAFL Westuffed !!! As someone said on another topic we're heading down the Sunday League path.

That's why I think the two Swans players have gone to Peel Dockers (Jack & Mot)
to be under their noses and see if they can get another sniff ???

Yeah, I guess you're right Chop. On the bright side, the lack of good recruits to WA this year might actually give us a chance of making the four. I don't reckon any of the squads look that strong so far apart from Claremont and Peel and to a lesser extent East Perth.

Maybe we've got a shot at 3rd or 4th by stealth.

Fourth if we're lucky - more likely 5th
