The players I have looked at have stood out at training.

I would have Dom Sheed in and should go straight in if fit but has really had no Pre Season so far and will be behind the eight ball compared top th rest of the group that has been training.

As for George did notice that he couldn't lift his arm above chest high, could be precautionary but did hear that he could need surgery.

The real selection time and to see who deserves a go will come with the pre season games to see how they stack up. I think we are in for a better year than last but won't get carried away to early as I think we will have a very young side throughout the year, so will take this year as a learning year for the young kids as the ones that have graduated from colts last year have alot of talent between them. When you consider the ones that are training: Garcia - Fairest & Best,
Wholing, Harvie, Clarke, Halligan all the top five finshers in the colts F&B add top that Featherstonhaugh, Le Fanu & Sommers in the top 10.

Next few years are looking good with only more to come through colts this year.

Fair enough, so i take it Randall hasnt exactly been killing it on the track then?

FB: Wohling, Rumble, Leishman
HB: JKT, Parker, Forrest
C: Halligan, Bristow, Clarke
HF: Garcia, Grover, Daye
FF: De Luca, Sinclair, Kerr

Ruck: Wheeler, Waters,Gum

Int: Norris, Joyce, Smythe, Randle

Emerg: Madut, Featherstonhaugh, Ashman, Moore

To be considered once fit have all had very limited pre season: Pickett, Harvie, Hampson, Broadhurst, McDougall, D.Sheed.

Still no Chambers Xmas, Davidson comes and goes.

Boys had a good start back with 2k to start and finish traning in 38 degree heat.

Randall on the bench - Shit we must be going to have a good year ???
If fully fit I would rate him as one of our 5 most important players.
He can play the Ben Keevers type roll across half back.

We're getting a real good cross section of teams here. Combine them all and we might be onto something. So I did. 1 for anyone in the 22, half a point for emergencies. Looks like.

I agree Chopper, Randall is one the top five but have tried picking a side that would be ready to go if needed this weekend. Even though Randall has just started back training after a period in Re hab I still found it hard to leave him out. So thought the bench would be best as he gives something coming off the bench.

I wouldn't be surprised if we see Forrie running through the middle this year similar to Horsley a couple of years ago. I think he's got the tank and ability to make a top class midfielder. just my thoughts....

Good call. Hope he stays injury free. The lad deserves a bit of luck.

agreed LH...he's a class act at WAFL level and think injury probably deprived him of a crack at the big time. We saw him in a run with role last year a bit and was very effective but think its now probably time to move him into the mids full time.

Hate to say it boys but just looking at some of the possible line ups reckon we're going to struggle again this year. I could be wrong and hopefully Schoey will bring some fresh ideas but we're still missing a quality ruckman, dominant goal kickers and a couple more in and under mids.

Yeah BC I recon we'll hover around the middle somewhere. We dont look anywhere near as strong as the two traitor teams or Cl, EF & SD. Yes agreed we need those type of players but dont know how as we've only got 7-12pts to play with...
