It's actually a great place to watch footy as long a it does not rain....surprised this was not a development choice fo the cfc. Surface needs improvement though

Yeah, I reckon Claremont should hand in a guesstimate figure of about 4,000 to the WAFL.

2200 is way too low. 10,000 isn't fair either because many were there for other reasons over a very long period of time, even if they did stick around for a quarter or two. Some were only at the ground for an hour or so.

Fascinating though to be watching the first quarter of a reserves game with so many people wandering around or watching the match.

Oobisoobi similar thing with me, I've got membership with entrance, couldn't find the correct gate, so I walked in and no one stopped me. Good crowd, decent food and beer.
La Hincha I noticed the size of the crowd when I got there at 1.30pm, biggest I've seen sitting around before a league game in a decade.

Good work mate. Yeah it's a nice set-up they have upstairs. $3.50 cans/stubbies of Carlton Mid too!

Shame the grandstand seating area is condemned. Hope they get it fixed for their sake.

As for the beer prices, members tent with a members badge $4.50 for VB or Carlton Draught, beats the hell out $6.50 for a plastic cup of mid strength puss at Patterson .
Really was a great atmosphere and good crowd. Score board needs sorting out, can't see the visiting sides score from the NW corner of the ground.

Oh, that's good news about the grandstand seating. Will be a ripper place to watch the game from. I was in a chair up against the glass window up there which was good also but outside will be better. But was good even inside specially with Glenn Mitchell, Jon Lennon and Jaxon Crabb calling the game on 6IX from inside the members bar which was clearly audible and added to the atmosphere. It's good to hear Mitchell's voice on the radio again.

Shame the game wasn't a great spectacle.Good if you enjoy lots of tackling and handball,but not my cup of tea.Too much like rugby,resulting from 36 players all in one half of the field and heaps around the ball like an under 12's game.Fair dinkum, this AFL style footy is bullshit.Nowdays we have lots of athletes masquerading as footballers as they race from one end of the ground to the other.Iwant to see a contest by all means,but I also want to see clean ,crisp movement of the ball along with big marks and specky goals.On page 74 of today's West there is a story about introducing zones to combat growing congestion.It can't come quick enough for me.

Wow,3312 for this game is a good crowd number. All the matches had good attendances by what the reports say. That will give the low total attendance figure so far for the season a good boost.

Just saw the total attendance for the 4 matches quoted as 17,580. Be fantastic if figures were like that every week.
