Really disappointing effort. Didnt apply enough pressure without the ball & made too many mistakes with it. Even still we did have our chances to win but hard to do when you kick 2 goals 9pts in the last qtr. Anyone know why Twoomey didnt play?

Broadbridge was quoted at the start of the year as saying that Claremont would have an home ground advantage at the Show Grounds because of its slightly different shape. A bit early to say that they have created a fortress because there has only been two games there, but teams going there from now on would have to be a bit more cautious you would think ......

It must be a tough gig for Claremont having to play away like they have been doing thus far. I notice however they have 7 remaining home games at the Showgrounds. Going on todays result, the other teams had better not take them lightly when playing there.

Yeah, given that you would not count them completely out of the finals race. Their only problem is that they have a shocking percentage (63%) so they would probably have to win 9 out of their last 11 games to do it.

I think it may be a long bow there, unless they can turn it around smartly. Claremont have scored a total of 85 goals and 82 minors thus far, but have had 134 goals and 119 minors kicked against them. Their % is the lowest on the standings. No, they would not want to drop any more games.

Yep, not one of our best days. Double handling the ball time after time. Sloppy skills by hand and foot. Also a lot of work being done by too few. Lot's of big names hardly contributed at all. In fact I wondered if some of the boys had the flu it was that lacklustre at times?

A very odd day actually.

The paper says crowd approx 2,200. Well maybe that's how many people PAID to get in.

In fact there was a lego exhibition at the showgrounds and for those people it was free entry into the ground but not into the exhibition centre itself.

A great many people seemed to stick around watching the game after finishing up doing their lego stuff. At times there were 4,000-5,000 people watching the footy and at other times much less. It was actually a very good atmosphere. Goodness knows how many people were wandering around the ground throughout the day...probably 10,000 over the 8 hour period.

Yes, I paid. Didn't have to. Was given the option at the gate "lego or footy sir?" lol

I walked in the wrong gate looking for someone to pay...ended up with free entry as no one would take my money....I would say it would have been the same for many more..4000 for me
