Well, do you cancel awards after every loss, or only against teams you don't respect?

Good point, if we lost to Perth, we would cancel awards for the season

I find it really arrogant that Wardman apologised. Subi did something similar a couple of years ago when they had an ugly win against Perth, they cancelled awards. Obviously, the expectation that you will stroll to an easy win against teams like EF and P is so strong that if it doesn't happen, there is a general dummy spit. You might say it's high standards, I say it's a lack of respect for a perceived lesser opponent.

Yes that was Schoey, and it was a shocking performance. No awards deserved and I’d say it did nobody any harm. Surely not to a precious opposition supporter

No Kitch, no Matera, no Lockyer, no Clark after the first few minutes...no fkn excuses. East Freo were terrific and any Sharks supporters who questioned where the club was going under Monaghan hopefully will be shut down after that. We were pitiful in our decision making and execution. I lost count of the number of times we went into the corridor and got picked off. Was it our game plan to go inside at all costs when transitioning from the back half? Christ I hope not because based on today's effort we're just not skilled enough to pull it off. Heal was very good, Litherland, Marsh, Walters, Mayo all tried hard but raffle the rest. I'm just about done with Bailey Matera and his smart arsed kicks around the corner that don't hit the target....he missed a 15 meter pass on the outer side today under very little pressure. How can that happen? Why are we persevering with under performers like Matera? Our forwards are disorganised and don't work for each other which was highlighted today by Nick Martin going for a Hail Mary snap when he could have given it off for a certain goal. As for awards, I don't think anyone deserved any accolades based on that performance as its got nothing to do with the opposition, it's about effort and that was lacking today.

STD has crawled out from under a rock again. Last time I looked your rabble are saved from being on the bottom by percentage whilst mine was clear on top by a game so I wouldn't be too smug if I were you. BTW...if you reward your players for getting pumped each week you can look forward to staying on the bottom.

BC he has nothing else in his life and the occasional loss by Subi is all he has to brighten his day, so dont be too hard on him. My mum said we should be kind to people like STT, he has a lot on his plate with the impending WC takeover.

Well what can you say apart from well done Sharkies on your comprehensive win yesterday.
We started ok in the first qtr and a half, got to a 4 goal lead, then EF kicked the next 12 goals!!
One thing I noted when we were going well early is that we were switching play consistently which opened up EF who were flooding the corridor and our forward line. After halftime we stopped doing that which played right inter their hands, they picked off our short passes time and again creating the overlap and their confidence skyrocked, they played brave footy, leaving their opponents to attack the footy and we looked so flatfooted. We were murdered in the stoppages, and apart from Heal, were out marked all over the ground. The delivery to our forwards was atrocious, but credit to EF for their pressure. We badly missed Lockyer down back as we were outsized by the EF forwards, Jono Marsh took us apart. he's a strange piece of work but such a good player.

Losing Clark very early to what I believe is a hammy was the start of a bad day, we missed his physicality at the stoppages and with Kitch also missing we looked to lack that onfield leadership that they both provide. Bailey Matera should be dropped and not seen again, we also missed his older brother who has been in very good form recently, so a few important outs but no excuse as EF also had the same.

Bye this week which is good for Clark and the other injuries, he will probably miss the Peel game as well, cant take risks with him before finals. Watched some of the last qtr of the ressies who were red hot, Robbins is a no brainer to come in for Bailey Matera plus Locks and Kitch should also be back for the Peelmantle game. Hope its live streamed as it's more than a cut lunch and water bag trip from York.

Good point SS.  I guess he'll crawl back into his hole when the announcement is made about the WC Demons/ Perth Eagles.

There should be no awards after the game if the team doesn't perform to an acceptable standard irrespective of who the opposition is on the day.
