Working the election up here in York as an issuing officer on Saturday, so will miss the game. Could be a quiet day at the ballot box with so many doing pre-poll voting. Also means less counting so hopefully an early night.

Will do SS. Being the first pre-season game you'd think it will be a low key affair with the young blokes getting a fair run at it and the older guys playing managed minutes. But I'll let you know who impresses on Monday.

Did anyone get to the game yesterday? I saw Souths won by a couple which is no big deal but interested to see who played for us and how they went.

Sorry gents I had to work all day but looks like Putt had a good game again against Higgins and co, Sokol got 3 and Clinch was our best. Big win in the magoos not surprising as we had a pretty stacked side with Dela, Marsh, Braut, Harris etc. Also noticed big recruit Johny Narkle bagging 3 along with Sandon Page so good signs there. Good to see Warren Dean's son Cameron also playing well in the magoos

Subiaco faced South Fremantle in the club’s second of three pre-season matches, in hot conditions at Leederville Oval this past Saturday.

The league team was still missing key league players including Delahunty, Braut, Harris, Marsh as they played limited minutes in the reserves game prior. Fresh faces in Joshua Robbins and Jack Borchet took the field for the first time in the league side.

Subiaco were down by five goals at Half Time, with South Fremantle lethal in front of goal, converting eight goals from 11 scoring shots (72.7% accuracy). However, the tide turned in the third quarter with Subiaco keeping South Fremantle to 0.1 whilst kicking 3 goals straight to put them within 13 points at the last break.

The game finished with Subiaco losing by 22 points going down 8.3 (51) to 11.7 (73).

Subiaco had range of goal kickers, with Sokol clinical in front recording three-goals, Macca Lawrence kicked two, while Powell, Robinson and Faraone all kicked one.

Subiaco’s next pre-season game will be played against West Perth in Joondalup, this will be the last pre-season game before Subiaco plays Leederville Oval co-tenant on Good Friday.
