Newtons 10 points should go towards getting a quality ruckman, I think we can cover his loss, especially if Deluca comes back and the young fellas coming through. We have recruited some very good ruckman in the recent past with guys like McDougal and Rix giving the club great service.

Oskar Matthews won the ressies B&F and at only 21 and 199cm perhaps he should be given a crack before we start looking around for a ruckman elsewhere.

Agree BC , we still have Dela and Andy Doyle showed a bit early on, Would take Zac Clarke back if he was available but that looks unlikely.

Not sure what our points are but you wouldn't think there was room for much from 100? There's a young bigman from Scarborough Lewis Putt who has the goods, not sure if Ian's son? I recon we need more toe in the midfield, joondy showed us that when it mattered. That's what I would do with Newtons 10pts

DG or anyone else, with the points is it the whole of the listed league squad that needs to fit inside the cap or just the 22 that take the field week by week?

SS: I think it is the second one, but it would be interesting to have someone confirm it.

Basically - the second option put by SS applies to the WAFL
In summary:
each club must have at least 55 "listed" players and the total points value cannot exceed 100 points (2.1). Players have different points depending on their category (2.1.1) (and some discounts for years of service in some cases).
Rule 2.8 - competitive balance - makes some adjustments club by club on total points and some other things (e.g. number of interstate players and size of protected list, and like for like (the "Zac" rule) etc).

I think the ammos use a points rule that applies like SS's first option - points on the park
