Yep agree Godinoz...I think this particular line of discussion between an EP and Perth supporter has run its course so back to the subject....who should we look to recruit next year if anyone? As I mentioned earlier, a ruckman and maybe a mid or 2 would be nice but beyond that I think we've got enough home grown talent to work with.

BC, with maybe a year or two at best left for Dela, a ruckman is a priority, not sure if there is anyone ready in the lower grades. The lad who rucked in the colts is a real goer and at 199cm is around the height you need but did struggle against the big 203cm Cl rucks. Forward line should be ok with Borch back and fit, that allowes Sok to have a more open roaming role and not taking the key backman. Word is we are very close to getting Josh Deluca back from CoVic, thats a massive in as he was leading all best player counts before the mid season draft, plus a few good mids in the colts that will come through, would be nice to have Vanirvan for a season but I think he's a certainty to be drafted. The Hickmont boys made good progress last season so expect them to take the next step after a big pre-season. The backline if all fit is very solid and there are a few good lads in the Colts that shone out in their GF so they are ready to go when Gus, Locks & Heal hang up the boots. So a league ready ruckman is the really important one to chase.

This is the advice from the WAFC regarding the removal of the recruiting restrictions and where we stand with the points cap.

"I can confirm that the WAFC Football Affairs approved at Thursdays meeting for Subiaco FC to have their recruiting restriction that were put in place at the end of 2019 removed and for Subiaco FC to treated in line with South Fremantle, Claremont and West Perth. That is, the competition baseline of 100 player points and no recruiting restrictions other than those already apart of the WAFL Rules and Regulations" said Baker.

Just heard Jack Mayo has been delisted from the Saints, would expect Subi to make sure they get him back to the club.

Spot on there SS , from what i have been reading Jack Mayo did his ACL mid year and was to return to his family in WA to do his rehab anyway. Hopefully we can get both him and Josh Deluca back who we both lost in the mid season draft in 2019.

Yep ...I saw that a few months ago that he did an ACL...bad luck for the young fella but hopefully he'll come back to Subi and have another crack at getting picked up by an AFL club as he has plenty of talent.

Wasn't aware of the ACL, that would put back any return to maybe mid season?

What was the point in St Kilda recruiting him in the first place only to delist him untried a year later? I really feel for the kid, another great Carine product. Jack gets fkd around, $ get fkd around and St Kilda achieve fk all out of it except airfare and accommodation bills? What a fkn disgrace this AFL mid-season draft bullshit is.

Do Subiaco, Claremont, South and West Perth have different recruiting rules to the rest of the clubs?

Yes. Rule 2.8
Claremont, South Fremantle, Subiaco and West Perth only have 100 points; others have 110 to 125 and some have extra protected players
