Bill fell out with the club so he will never coach it; he is the same as Dimmer and Leonard in that regard. It matters not whether they have managers or coaches, rather, all need to improve on what happened this season.

it was reported in the press, that, Wardman's original appointment was down to 'time and money'

And I'm the tugger.......

Sorry tugger...did I mention they won the flag last year by 16 goals?

BC yes he did and it was great for the club but it could be argued that it was a bit of a Chris Scott scenario.

He inherited a very professional, well drilled and tough (in the right sense of the word) team. It had great on field leadership and knew what to do in almost every situation. He is to be applauded for doing but and it is a big but (nearly a kardashian) about whether he can continue with the process.

May applaud Scott for his record but just making finals and falling over during them with the team he has certainly for me questions his performance.

I hope for Wardmans sake he can get Subi back and sooner than later but the outcome will be how he (and the clubs decision) is judged.

I think it's just great that some on here are happy to criticise someone before he has actually failed? This season doesn't count due to injuries and well .... everything else that happened, he coached our colts to their first flag in several decades, then took over a very good side and managed to maintain their performance level, sorry he did lose what 1 game? compared to Schoeys unbeaten year, so thats a massive fail!!

If and when the guy fails dismally, then put the boots in when he's down, I'm sure some of you are no strangers to doing that.

Subi's list if all fit is still very good but aging, so maybe 1 more year at or near the previous levels and that will probably be it for a while, the recruiting ban will really start to bite once Horse, Dela, Kitch, Litherland and maybe Lockyer hang up the boots, probably at the end of next season or '22.

Tugger you are the master of assumptions based on not much really, so keep it up, if nothing else it's entertaining.

It never ceases to amaze me how luminaries on here say that incoming coaches inherited flag winning teams. They said that about Watters when he took over from Germo and Schofield after Waterman but both went on to winning multiple flags and then coached at the elite level....so they must have done something right....go figure.

The recruiting ban is only for this season SS, how can they put recruiting restrictions on a side that finished 6th?? Shit will hit the fan if they try that, i’m sure. It was unheard of in any sport doing it this season never mind doing it again to a side that finished 6th. The Zac Clarke rule...what’s the bet that Clarke leads the ruck for us in 2021

Was not aware it was just a 1 year thing, some on here will expect a 10 year restriction!!
Would be great to get Zac back, might entice Dela to stay on a bit longer if he's not rucking most of the game. Zac was in the rooms celebrating the 2019 win and pretty much all but signed up for 2020.

It's a different situation now with a more even comp, basket cases like Perth are now well on the rise as are EP and expect Swans to put up a better show in 21 so the days of dominating the comp are well over, just want to be in the frame each year for finals and a realistic shot at the flag.

Didn’t Subi only finish 6th cos of injuries ?
That’s what you guys said on here continuously.
Hopefully next year with fit players and SuperCoach training the boys harder than anyone else you can win a flag by 15 goals again

Haven't assumed anything other than he was on a 1/4 of the pay of Schoey. I stand by my other comments. Everyone else chimed in that he's not really the coach ...
