ToOl....if you sack a deputy PM for having a couple of dirty weekends and getting his squeeze a job which I'm led to believe was approved by the PM's office, then I think you're in lala land. and as for flip flop...I agree RfR was a waste of money in many instances but it wasn't specifically designed to be advantageous for 1 party like the Labor slush fund. RfR was spread across most country areas including Labor held electorates if I recall correctly.

TOO: correct; there is also the question of him allegedly 'lying to parliament' over the house he is living in for free. Andrew Bolte, in addition to pointting out the above behaviour on Joyce's part, referred to it as the act of a 'bludger'. I

Perhaps you will provide the amount spent under RfR programme within the Pilbara electorate compared to the Albany electorate?

What and to whom is his business. However, there are legitimate questions for him to answer with respect to the Ministerial code of conduct and he also needs to explain his presence in Canberra when parliament was not sitting.

Further what sort of government is it when the person who should be acting PM is told to go on holidays. Then the next person who should be the acting PM, Julie Bishop, is told she should stay out of the country. And the reason, Turnbull is too scared of losing his job.

Problem being swan, is that people such as your good self are worried about his personal life which has no bearing on the running of our country. I don't have to tell you that fidelity/ infidelity is rife, it's a human trait. As I said, he doesn't particularly thrill me, but I've had a gutsful of this gutter trash news reporting. Too many people rely on press opinion to form their own opinion. Press have concentrated on this rubbish, why don't they put the bagman under the same scrutiny???
As for Turnbull, he reminds me of Andrew Peacock. People thought " who the fk is he and when do we get rid of him"?

Which part of and I quote from a previous post of mine "What and to whom is his business" means specifically I do not wish to discuss his lack of fidelity to his wife. What I have spoken to is the concerns about why he may have bee in Canberra for 50 nights and potentially claimed expenses for those nights. Similarly, there are concerns that he may have been in breach of the Ministerial code with respect to the employment of his "partner".

i would also put it to you that it is not the norm for Deputy PM to be told to go on leave so he wouldn't be acting PM whilst the PM is overseas. Similarly for the Deputy PM in a coalition government to say that the PM is inept.

The longer this continues the more it shows they should be kicked at the earliest opportunity.

Yesterdays press conference was another example of the breathtaking lack of political judgement by Malcolm Turnbull which he has demonstrated on several occasions since the notorious Godwin Grech "Utegate"affair in 2009 which blew up in his face. If Turnbull had kept his mouth shut and allowed Joyce to stew in his own juice, he may have got the outcome he wanted. However by delivering a headmaster style rebuke of Joyce and humiliating him, Turnbull has actually solidified the support behind the National Party leader and reduced the chances of getting rid of him because the Nationals resent any Liberals telling them what to do. He may have even left himself open to a challenge from the Abbott camp because the coalition is in danger of falling apart becuase there is very little chance that these two leaders can work together effectively. What a rabble. If Joyce is the best leader that the Nationals can come up with then they are in a pretty bad place.

As he so often does Alan Jones nailed it this morning on Sunrise and answered the questions I had that was this affair known when Barnaby went to the by-election? AJ said it was known to the PM and everyone in cabinet going into the New England by-election that 1. Barnaby had split up with his wife and 2. It was known he was in a relationship with his former staffer and the PM was shoulder to shoulder with Barnaby during the by-election telling everyone what a great bloke he was and acting like they are as thick as thieves.
Get on your bike.
It was Adam and Eve not Adam and Steve.

Turnbull is walking on a tightrope here. He cannot afford to have Joyce booted out of the parliament. If Barnaby does leave, Turnbulls position is suddenly in danger if it isn't already. And now Abbot and his supporters are sticking his nose into the affair.
